I completely concur that if you can justify the investment in a hitch + hike mount rack, that's the better option. For me, I'm an occasional rider, so I can't. What I CAN say is that over the course of 7+ years and probably 300+ mountings and dismountings of the Allen Sports compact trunk rack...

Also, I can tell you that if you have a lightweight bike (< 30 lbs or so), the Allen Sports Ultra Compact trunk rack will also work. I've had this one for about 8 years on a Nissan LEAF, and I only had to adjust the straps to get a snug fit on the Model 3. Note that I just put it on to test...

Here's a couple of pics that somebody posted of an Allen Sports 2-bike rack on a Model 3. I suspect it was the Deluxe 2-bike rack. Note that Allen Sports does not list this rack as being compatible with the Model 3, so caveat emptor.

My phone has had about a 2% success rate (Moto G5+, Android 7.0). Specifically, if I reboot the phone, it connects for an hour or two. Once it disconnects, nothing works to get it to reconnect but rebooting the phone. Specifically, turning Bluetooth off and on does not good whatsoever. So...

Yes - I have exactly the same issue. VIN 13xxx, manufactured in early April. It's particularly evident around the bottom middle of the glass and seems to be related to the placement of the heater lines - as though their placement caused the glass to cure unevenly. Looking at car headlights...

To update this thread, the Teslas have been moved from Burbank Airport Lot C to a private lot on the west side of Hollywood Way at Tulare Ave. The good news is that out of about 100 total Teslas onsite, there were probably 20 or so Model 3s. Interestingly, most of the rest appeared to be Model...

From what others have commented, the Model 3 battery pack isn't designed for quick swapping (it's more integrated into the chassis), which is why I don't think it's an item that can be swapped at delivery time. From everything I've read, the pack is identical (externally) between the two - just...

My $0.02 on this subject: I think the only model of Model 3 that might be factory-certified for a tow hitch will be the dual-motor, possibly with Smart Air Suspension (SAS). I'd bet that even that option will have a towing limit of around 1,500-2,000 lbs. Because almost any travel trailer is...

Or to be more specific, VINs are assigned to buyers after the cars are built (and just a few days prior to delivery). And for folks paying cash, the VIN doesn't need to be assigned to them prior to delivery. Moral: just pay cash!

Personally, I think this reinforces the "build in batches, then assign VIN" theory. This allows them to build SR Model 3s as fast as they can, with the only options being small changes that can be done in the last day or two prior to delivery (such as wheels). Every "big, built-in" option...
