My almost 4 years old Wall Connector’ handle is starting to separate from the cable, exposing the internal cables (see photo). I tried to push it back in but it doesn’t stay there.
Any ideas/suggestions how to fix? Is this repairable?
Hello,
I had multiple (23) sentry false positive events last night. There was no alert on the phone. A neighbor informed me that the car lights were flashing multiple times last night. Looking at the footage, the recorded events were between 2.00a and 5.00a but I didn’t see anything suspicious...
Any good, quick automated wash services in the Natick, Wellesley, Framingham area for the Model 3?
Personally, I don’t really worry about touch vs touch-less systems for the paint etc. My biggest worry is the rails of these systems damaging the Aero caps. I don’t want to be in the business of...
Obviously there are tons of discussions on these forums and the internet in general about Model 3 Performance Stealth that answer all your questions but in general, and based on my understanding:
You can not order a Model 3 Performance Stealth your self. A Tesla Sales Advisor needs to find...
Got delivery of a Model 3 four days ago. This car replaced my Model S 75D.
One thing I noticed (that I probably missed during test drive) is how limited the movement of the steering wheel is when is adjusted. I am 6’ 2” tall and in general I have to move the driver seat almost all the way back...
I got delivery of a new leased Model 3 yesterday at the Dedham store and I just realized the registration/license plates they gave me are not EV plates.
Did they stop giving EV plates or this is a mistake? Should I call and fight this or there is really no benefit of having EV this plates...
I am bit confused so I am hoping for some help here. 4 days ago my Tesla advisor sent me a link to a Model 3 Performance stealth. The car had a VIN serial in the 602xxx range and for location it was saying "Pre-Production". I posted the $100 and ordered it. My assumption was that the car is not...
For what is worth, I asked my SA specifically this question. His answer was NO.
Q: Do miles have any expiration date?
A: The miles do not expire.
Maybe he has no idea or maybe miles do not expire....
Either for a lease down payment or a loan down payment what is the maximum amount I can put on a credit card to pay the amount due on delivery to Tesla?
This is about convenience, as in my case I always pay the full balance of the Credit Card at the end of every month so there is no hit with...
I thought that the reason Model 3 Performance gets 310 miles range (instead of 322 that the Long Range All Wheel Drive gets) was the size and type of the wheels (20 inch non-Aero vs 18 inch Aero). But I did see the specs of a couple of those Stealth Performance models, with the 18 inch Aero...
Anyone leasing a Model 3 using a different company than Tesla in the US? What good options (based on company/financial institution/terms) are out there? Any good experiences? How was the process?
(Note: this is not a debate about if lease is a good option or not)
For what is worth, got delivery of my Model S at Dedham the last few days of 2016 year. End of a quarter but way before the Model 3 craziness. In general I had very positive experience with the Tesla Dedham people. Everything was on time, as promised. Also I have extremely positive experience...
Can someone that test-drove (or maybe owns ? ) both, comment on the difference in comfort and noise levels on the two cars?
I understand that Performance has lowered suspension and 20" wheels but how much of a difference does it fell during normal driving?
And is there any difference on...
Some background info: I am currently have a Model S 75D. I will switch to Model 3 in 2 months. I get 240 miles at 100% charge with this car. I have it for almost 3 years now. For my use all these 3 years, I never needed more than 200 miles. And I have made some long trips as well. Obviously...
I can not find any videos from a demo FSD drive from today’s event. According to the webcast, people attending would have to ability to experience the new hardware and software. Any NDAs involved?
Any links/videos ?
Thanks. Yes, the best option is to wait. I just thought Tesla would/will? provide some incentives to keep me in the brand. But as some others said, Tesla is doing things differently.
My lease is for sure through Tesla and Tesla Finance is the Lessor. Without being 100% sure, I think the...
Thanks. Yes, it looks like I should wait a few more months and see what happens. With BMW they did exactly as you said. Waived the last few payments. Tesla is probably different. We will see.
Hello. Need some help understanding some lease buyout numbers from the experts.
My 3 year lease of my 2016 Model S 75D with 21500 miles, ends at the end of this year (in 7 months). Lease is through Tesla Finance. My monthly payment (including taxes etc) is at $1200. With Model 3 leasing...
December 2016 S75D here. Living in MA. Got the email to schedule a service for the recall 3 weeks ago. I scheduled it for two weeks after. A Tesla Ranger (I mean Tesla Remote Service :-) ) came, replaced the airbag and gone. It took him 45 minutes or so. I didn’t have to move (other than giving...
Long shot here but, did you try rebooting the car?
My December 2016 S75D heat system is horrible in general (especially with heat in the foot area (or lack thereof) and auto fan control) but I never experienced the issue the OP mentions.
You are correct. Smart suspension, Premium sound and Cold weather are the extra options. One note though on the specs above. If it is a late 2016 build, 0-60 should be 4.2 (not 5.5). I think...
+1 on this ^
One thing I noticed during the last two small trips, long gone the days where you would see just a handful of Teslas on the road. Now they are everywhere and in big numbers. SuperCharging stations used to be empty, with just one to two cars. Now, you might have to wait. If you have...
Disengaging Autosteer might be for multiple reasons. One is what the OP describes. But there is also the reason that you take over in case of an emergency. Is the OP suggesting that TACC should increase speed in this case? The car, most of the times, doesn't know why you take over.
Having said...
Apologies for disrupting the fart and games party but... did they fix the navigation bug that you cannot have the map heading up and expanded directions window at the same time? (waiting for this for a long time....)
So, end of the year. 4 people I know already bought or waiting delivery of a Tesla to take advantage of the $7500 Fed tax credit. These are great cars but $7500 off helps a lot. Should be an excellent quarter for Tesla.
But, what will happen after that? Fed tax credit goes down (half). I doubt...
A couple of times in the last few weeks I got message: "Systems are powering up..." and nothing else was happening. Reboot (sometimes multiple reboots), fixed the issue but after a few days it came back.
Service Center says that my Dec 2016 S 75D needs MCU replacement and they will do it (under...
Did they fix that annoying navigation bug that you cannot have the map view “heading up” at the same time that the navigation instructions are expanded?
Apologies if this discussed in this thread but I didn’t find anything. Did they fix that annoying navigation bug that you cannot have the map view “heads up” and the navigation instructions expanded?
My S 75D will stay a few days at the service center. They gave me a loner, a 2017 S 60D through Enterprise Rental Car (an Enterprise Rental Car representative was at the service center and he was processing loaners for Tesla).
I didn't pay much attention at first as I was in a hurry but there...
Personally I think a HUD would be ideal companion to AutoPilot, the way AutoPilot works today. My feeling is though it is against Tesla's long term vision. If their plan is Full Self Driving then I imagine they would want to discourage people from using AutoPilot "manually" and a HUD would be...
With AutoPilot, and especially with Navigate on AutoPilot, I find my self looking more and more on the dashboard and the center screen than on the road:
1) With Navigate on Autopilot, I find my self looking a lot on the dashboard screen and waiting for a signal to confirm lane change. As far as...
For whatever is worth, Tesla replaced the windshield on my S in two days. I am not sure if this is standard procedure but they sent the car out to JN Phillips (or maybe JN Phillips came in ?) to do the replacement. The new windshield has all the Tesla stamps, cameras defrost lines etc.
Update: Brought the car in for scheduled "Water Test" on Oct 16 (they gave me a Tesla loaner). They kept the car for a full week. They said they found a small leak in the passenger front area of the windshield. They replaced the windshield (actually JN Phillips did). Invoice says they water...
Exactly same issue here. Dec 2016 Model S. Full Glass roof. Wet carpets on both driver and passenger side. Took it to Tesla service yesterday without appointment. Initially they thought it was the AC line but upon inspection they said it is not. I scheduled an appointment so that they can run a...
When I got my car in 2016, a S75D, I thought Tesla was at least two years ahead of competition in multiple fronts: battery, autopilot, technology (with over the air updates), even driving (I didn’t think Tesla was ahead in terms comfort or quality for a 82K car, but that is another story)...
I was watching this video today. It is the first autonomous racing car completing a racetrack. This happened yesterday I believe. According to Robocar people, this is all AI (not some rule-based system)
A lot of thoughts come to mind in relation to Tesla's autopilot.
On how it looks, there...
I had to Supercharge so I didn't pass the bridge on autopilot (exited before the bridge). When I passed the bridge then autopilot would not activate over 35mph.
Having said that, this was pre-17.17.4 update. Now, with the new firmware it should not be an issue as AP2 limits are much higher.
