Which candidate is better for Tesla?

I will keep it simple. The right wing and the left wing are both attached to the same bird. It doesn't make a difference they are both the same

    The last straw

These are the stories that keep appearing lately that are making me hesitant on keeping my M3 order. 90% of the members here say I'm wrong and the issues are far and few between. I have seen four P100 owners post issues and there are not many on the road. Also this is the top of he line car.

Tesla drops solid white as a color choice - speculation as to why?

Problem with pearl white is if anything ever has to be repainted because of damage it's near impossible to match. I like pearl white but would never buy another car that color again.

Tesla Model 3: Prices, specs and release date

Maybe because none have actually been spotted? Real world tests like most manufactures do. It's a valid concern. Seeing defective windshields, wrong color bumpers, interior pieces not attached properly along with other issues still occurring in the last 6 months. These are on Tesla not the...

Tesla Model 3: Prices, specs and release date

Pretty crazy they are releasing this car in less then a year and we haven't been shown a final design. Hard to believe also they can do adequate testing of a new product when none are built. Pretty much unheard of in the auto industry. I'm wondering how a trouble free car can be manufactured...

Will Tesla be Ready for 500,000 Model 3's?

When you say proper moves do you mean expanding the factory? Or ensuring production is on schedule? Or making sure they eliminate as many quality issues as possible? I would agree with you Elon is doing his best to stay on schedule. They still have been having issues with the Model S after 4...

Model 3 reveal effect on other luxury car sales

I would think you would understand it's the cars are heavier now because of safety laws. Honda was getting 50mpg in 1988 but I wouldn't want to get hit by a 4,000lb car in one of those. Think of the range you could get if today's cars were 2,000lbs

Model 3 reveal effect on other luxury car sales

It's just as slow as every other Prius. It also get more mpg then anything on the road and has Toyota reliability. Not a bad car

    Hurricane & Superchargers

I hope you will be ok. This is a bad storm. Only being a block from the ocean and not leaving is not a very wise decision

    Hurricane & Superchargers

I live in Tampa bay and every hotel is sold out here and I image Fort Meyers and Naples being the same. Most people from the east coast have headed west.

Brand new Model S quality issues take months to resolve

The Tesla was the best driving experience of any car I have driven and that's why I can see people ignoring the problems. I'm extremely disappointed to see all the negative posts. Everyone thinks people just post negative but what about the people that have problems and don't post at all? Tesla...

Brand new Model S quality issues take months to resolve

I waited in line for my M3 reservation and have always wanted a Tesla. I'm almost positive I'm going to cancel my order at this point. The amount of issues with these cars and the time it takes to get them fixed now when the M3 isn't even out is troubling. Also they are rushing to get the car...

    Remove the 'Dislike' Button?

Yes it really hurts my feelings when someone I will never meet or speak to dislikes my opinion. People shouldn't be able to hurt my feelings over the internet so easily.

    Tired of the $100,000 Car

Funny you say that because that's how Lexus became so successful. It's called customer service. If you don't think the guy buying a 35k car works as hard as the guy buying a 100k car and should not be treated the same that says a lot about yourself. You might be the problem.

    Model X Front Suspension Failure

I know how you feel. I get dislikes for not liking the new Bolt on a Tesla forum. Im honestly disappointed some of these issues are happening. There is another thread of someone refusing delivery on a new P100D who didn't seem to be a very picky person and is very positive about the Tesla brand...

    Breakdown of types of reservations

I'm in Florida and a non Tesla owner. I stood in line for my reservation. I'm hoping to get my car mid 2018 but that's if production is on time. Honestly with all the issues of the first cars I'm ok with waiting. Having a reliable car is more important to me then being one of the first on the road.

Model s 90D vs. 911 carrera s, tried by myself

True but 911 shines on twisty roads and tracks. It's one of the greatest cars of all time. Not a car someone buys to go 0-60

Engadget claims Bolt cheaper than Model 3

It depends on what your definition of cheaper is. The Bolt certainly looks cheaper. :D

The New Chevy Bolt vs Tesla Model 3: Which is better EV?

No debate on how ugly it is though
  21. Neohippy

Bloomberg finally writes a really fair and balanced Bolt article

This is a good article. The Bolt is at 238 miles of range but didn't Elon say minimum of 215 on the Model 3? Who knows if it won't have 238 at the smaller battery?
  22. Neohippy

Oh, Model 3, Where Art Thou?

I have never leased a car in my life. I usually pay for them cash or finance them shortly. I'm very excited for my Model 3 but I'm seriously considering leasing because of quality issues and not wanting the car out of warranty. I'm a long time buyer Japanese cars which have been bulletproof.

Why you should never let friend drive your Model X. CEO of Coffee.club runs a Red Light

EM on Twitter: 'I think we will probably stop at 100 kWh on battery size'

I can't see them getting much weight reduction. The car already is aluminum.

Bolt EV EPA range = 238 miles combined!

The demand for the Bolt being weak has no indication on Tesla. The Bolt is ugly and unimpressive. The FACT of how many Model 3 reservations we made before anyone even saw the design shows the confidence in Tesla. I find it very hard to believe the same buyer of the Bolt would buy a Tesla.
  26. Neohippy

Bolt EV EPA range = 238 miles combined!

My Prius doesn't get 49/51 mpg so what's your point? It's amazing the mentality of some people in this thread. Omg Tesla is lying my range is 5 miles less then advertised. I wish this was my biggest problem in life.
  27. Neohippy

[Poll] Would you take a Bolt over an M3 in these situations?

The Bolt is ugly. I agree it looks like a Sonic. I wouldn't buy the Bolt of it was 15k. I'm very surprised any Model 3 buyer would even consider it. I thought Tesla buyers had good taste in cars
  28. Neohippy

Bolt EV EPA range = 238 miles combined!

    Model3 = Sexytime
  29. Neohippy

Bolt EV EPA range = 238 miles combined!

I feel there is no comparison between the Bolt and the Model3. I don't care if the Bolt has an extra 50 miles of range. It's ugly and doesn't have any performance compared to Tesla. People paying an average of 42K are going to want a car a little nicer then a Bolt.

    Model 3 Ludicrous 0-100 km/hr Poll

What you fail to realize no matter what truck Tesla builds it wont hurt F-series sales. You really think the typical F-series guy will buy a Tesla? Toyota has had trouble with the Tundra and honestly nobody is building anything to compete with F-250 and above. The Ford buyer won't buy a Tesla...

    Model 3 Ludicrous 0-100 km/hr Poll

Traction is far from a problem. They are achieving these times on all season tires and the car is AWD
  33. Neohippy

Charging Port on both sides of Model 3 please?

Thats funny because I have never owned a car with with the filler on the passenger side. Tesla will be my first American made car. Something I never thought I would ever buy since all I ha e owned is Japanese cars.

How many kWh can they squeeze into the Model 3...?

I love Internet arguments. I don't care who is right but what I do care is how much is a Ludicrous M3 going to cost me
  35. Neohippy

How many kWh can they squeeze into the Model 3...?

I'm looking for a highly optioned car myself. Seems like it's more then just a few percent of us too. More like 25%.
  36. Neohippy

Would you be willing to buy your M≡ options now?

Only if I got Ludicrous thrown in free.
  37. Neohippy

Attempting to price out options for Model 3

I have said this many times. Tesla will have no problem selling 35k cars for 60k but if they reach 80k those are a different buyer.
  38. Neohippy

Model 3 reveal effect on other luxury car sales

Say what you want but the Prius is the most cost effective vehicle on the road right now. The new plug in is also much improved. Sales are down because of gas prices. SUV sales are back up again and this year we have consumed the most gas in a year so far in history.
  39. Neohippy

    Extended warranty and pre-paid maintenance

So basically you need to buy both the service plan and extended agreement. I'm not worried about the extended warranty covering windshield wipers, brake fluid or key fob batteries. That makes the extended warranty very expensive but not as expensive the repairs out of warranty
  40. Neohippy

    Extended warranty and pre-paid maintenance

Have you looked at the Tesla service plan? The only real thing that needs to be done is the battery coolant flush at 50k miles. I can't see how they can deny a extended warranty claim for not rotating your tires or replacing your Incabin air filter.

Payment Method now on Tesla's My Tesla Page [Since Removed]

It's really funny to read everyone's speculation myself included. Also probably a first time scenario where so many people bought into a product they know so little about.

    Model 3 Supercharging Capable Discussion

Pay per use is good because everyone's situation it different. Some need supercharging and some don't. I rarely would use it but would like the option if needed to pay for it. Hopefully they will satisfy everyone and you can buy it as a lifetime use or pay per use.

Attempting to price out options for Model 3

    I hope you are right
  45. Neohippy

Attempting to price out options for Model 3

I totally agree. I think Tesla is smart enough to know this. The M3 buyer is looking for a fairly loaded car for 70k not 100k. They won't sell half as many at 100k.
  46. Neohippy

If Customer Confusion Hurting Tesla, Too: Best Option to Fix?

Making the Model 3 has made me a Tesla customer. I have always wanted to be one but refuse to pay 100k for a car. This problem of cannibalization is with many brands. The Cayman vs 911 is a great example. Porsche had to be careful there. There will always be a buyer for the Model S so I doubt it...
  47. Neohippy

    Model 3 Supercharging Capable Discussion

I would prefer pay per use. I can charge at home and work if needed. I rarely take trips long enough that I would need a supercharger. It would be hard for me to pay 2k upfront for something I rarely would use.
  48. Neohippy

    I felt a bit bad...

Most people know they are paying a premium for the latest technology and it doesn't last. These days buying a new Tesla is like buying a new IPhone or the the latest TV. Most people would gladly take a P85D.

Car and Driver mag thinks Elon is sweating bullets over the Bolt

The major factor I think in the depreciation is the reliability and the cost to fix the car. If parts become available and service manuals to where someone could repair the car themselves it will help with depreciation. Currently it's very expensive to fix a Tesla out of warranty
  50. Neohippy

Extended Warranty Worth it? One year 4k 50k Miles?

That's very surprising. Thats great for you
