I just had 22.12.1 installed and I don’t know what they did but the hard braking on AP is horrendous. Almost was rear-ended twice on my way home today. It’s literally waiting until the last second and slamming in the brakes. It was aggressive before this but it’s much worse now.

Yep, I just got the 22.8.2 pushed to my car last night as well (from 22.4.5.3). Going to give it a couple more weeks before I opt-out.

I've seen this behavior when at a light before, but what makes these instances different is that I had at least four vehicles in front of me so I'd expect AP to pick up one of those if it can't read the lines. Even so, it never even gave me a chance to confirm or disengage, it just shut it down.

Well, it looks like now there's 2022.8.2 which is branching off of 2022.4.5.3 (version I'm currently on). Still don't have any update pushes to my vehicle, although I do have a service appt coming up. I hope they don't upgrade it to 5.16 when it's there.

IF you have the correct cameras and MCU, and IF you have a high enough safety score, and IF your car is lucky enough to be put in the queue, you MIGHT get it on one of the rollouts.

TBH, I'm very surprised that there hasn't been a class-action suit filed over all of this. I know there's an arbitration clause but that has limited standing when it effects so many customers.

That's exactly what I just did. Traded my '16 X for a used '17 X with Ludicrous with the intention of staying under warranty until the Cybertruck is released. I think so long as you go with an August or later build date in 2017 you should be fine since it'll have the AP3 hardware.

I had the same issue on my 2016 X. Service acknowledged the issue but made no effort to resolve it. I've since traded it in for a 2017 so I guess we'll see if it happens again. Sure hope not.
