    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Thanks for answering! I do think that there is firmware flashing with GHOST (not so with the other modules), they say it in the instructions: My question is: how you reprogram it back to stock if desired? (if even possible)

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Yes, they are flashing firmware into the motor inverter. I don’t know if they can flash it back to factory specs - I’m curious myself. If you/they cannot flash it back to factory specs, then it would be permanent... even if you remove the module the firmware will remain, and should be trivial...

What month in 2018 was your car made? How did they find out? In the TeamViewer meeting?

    Reserved today

Since you are in the US, I'd say 18months. But considering most people here ordered almost 2yrs ago, and still no car, your wait might not be that bad.

Still worth getting a Model 3 if Electricity costs more than Gas?

Geez... SD electricity IS expensive, and at some point it might not be worth it (from the strictly financial POV). However, here are some details worth noting: - Consider lowest TOU 22c/kWh (at night?), not the average. So that's like $1316/yr on your calculation. Way cheaper than the...

    1) The best place I found is: Incentives for Plug-in Hybrids and Electric Cars But Tesla also has a page: Incentives 2) Most incentives require proof of registration, so you will most likely would need to apply for incentives in your area - Iowa. Federal incentives apply to all US states.

Thanks!! I had no idea, and that SUCKS! I hope CT legislators get their act together pronto. Anyways, I removed the $3000 from the calculations.

Changed it 8.6% (Phoenix's). I was wrongly using the state tax, not the fully combined city one. Thanks!

    Model 3 pricing spreadsheet

Cool! I thought about pivot tables too, but I actually wanted to see all prices at once to really see what combos were in my target price range. Also, in yours it looks like the tax is applied after the incentives? Total seemed short when I tested with CA. And the delivery has been set $1000...

    Model 3 pricing spreadsheet

Good point... Not sure if the "Delivery" is considered part of the cost of the car, if not, the fully loaded is actually $59,500 - I'll put a note.

Fixed it. Again I was wrongly using the state tax, not the fully combined one. Thanks!

To Long Range or Not to Long Range...

I'm in the same boat. I've been driving an 80mi range LEAF for 4yrs. And while, yes I only use it locally (work, groceries, kids, etc) it has serve me well. (I've only taking twice in a trip to SF-Sacramento ~240mi round trip in those 4yrs) Do I want it all? Yes. But we also have an SUV that...

OR added. I think it would have the cheapest Model 3 in the country! It beats CO! (UPDATE: not it doesn't - CO still wins, but it's pretty damn good! :) ) I wanted to highlight the combos that would be most interesting in my opinion. Loaded, Base bare bones, and what I might get... Base...

[Speculation] All Model 3s have hardware for self presenting doors

And I bet HUD also unlocks on your first birthday after delivery. Funny, but I don't get this wishful thinking. If they had it, it would work and they would charge for it.

    Model 3 pricing spreadsheet

Pricing has been a big topic since the last event. So I'm hoping this would be helpful. Crunching numbers on combo options? Need a reality check on what you can afford? Take a look at this spreadsheet I put together. Tesla Model 3 pricing If you want me to add a tab for your State, comment...

Bolt EV EPA range = 238 miles combined!

The Bolt is about 1000lbs lighter than the lightest MS, according to RoadShow. So that might help too.

Bolt EV EPA range = 238 miles combined!

This is hands down, the best reaction I have encountered to the Bolt news. Nicely put. Everyone take a deep breath.... Tesla will be fine. The more EVs the better - especially when they match ICE convenience. The Bolt will most likely help convert new EV drivers, not steal Tesla customers. We...

The New Chevy Bolt vs Tesla Model 3: Which is better EV?

And... I really liked the video vlog, but the blog article is just crap - grammatically incorrect and just plain incorrect in many areas.

The New Chevy Bolt vs Tesla Model 3: Which is better EV?

@Jeff N Thanks for the nice comparison. In world where the two cars are readily available for purchase, and what we currently know, the Model 3 is the better EV. Hands down. However, I think that starting January 2017, with some Bolt reaching the dealers and the Model 3 not even hitting...

"Nice Guys" movie - can you spot the plenty nods at EVs and Tesla?

Yeah... I should've put a comma somewhere there :) The similarity is the funny, buddy detectives format, not the 70s setting. Also, I found that the director (Shane Black), is the same guy that wrote the first "Lethal Weapon" - that explains a lot.

"Nice Guys" movie - can you spot the plenty nods at EVs and Tesla?

Cool! I'm not imagining things then! - There is the (unnecessary) talk about alternative fuels in the standup comedy bar where Crowe's character lived - EV concept car at the auto show - Autopilot reference when they crash, and several quotes about "cars driving themselves in the future". -...

"Nice Guys" movie - can you spot the plenty nods at EVs and Tesla?

Yeah... I should've put a comma somewhere. The similarity to Lethal Weapon is the "funny, buddy detective" movie format, not the fact that one was set in the 70s :) And, I found out that the director of "Nice Guys" was the actual writer of the first "Lethal Weapon" - that explains a lot.

"Nice Guys" movie - can you spot the plenty nods at EVs and Tesla?

I just watched last night "Nice Guys" - a very funny detective movie set in the 70s (think Lethal Weapon). I think it actually opens today. Very entertaining movie! However, if you can see beyond the jokes, silly shooting scenes, and the copious amount of mild nudity, there is an underlying...
