Updated to 2019.32 and it’s still definitely the same. Confirmed the noise with another Tesla tech and it’s “normal”, so might figure out how to block/reduce it separately from them at this point :)

Just got 2019.28.3.1! Unfortunately the chirping is around the same for me at highway speeds, though seems slightly diminished between 35-40 (could be placebo though). One important note: for me the chirping only starts on the highway when the motors have warmed up a bit (5-10mi of driving).

Aww bummer! I’m guessing I’ll get the same response too. I looooove the car otherwise, so maybe it’s time to start looking into some soundproofing. A high-pitched noise like that can’t be too hard to filter out, can it? :D

Did the service center figure out what was causing the chirping? Hearing the same thing from my AWD :)

Give your local Tesla store a call! They can check it internally. That's how I got my Model 3 Performance :)

I just bought a demo M3P for $7,700 off. It's an incredible deal — I wouldn't hesitate to take it. My Tesla location (San Francisco) treated it like a new car purchase in every way, so they'll fix any blemishes you find.

So far the issue has been fixed on mine also! Used to reliability happen 50% of the time and now I haven't seen it since pre-update. So much better :)

Took my LR RWD with totally stock 18" tires to snow-covered Lake Tahoe this weekend and was extremely impressed with its handling. Car found traction where I didn't think possible, and was quite fun to throw around with slip-start on . FWIW, I had been considering upgrading to the AWD model but...

Mine has a similar issue (right side of the wheel doesn't work for horn, but left does). Tesla service center says it's a known issue with a service bulletin, so bring it in! Definitely not normal :)

How did the Armor All work? Same thing happened to me :(

Would love to hear how well door insulation works if you add it! Road noise is the only thing preventing me from loving Model 3 on the highway :)
