if true this is great news... as a Canadian reservation holder I'm hoping to get my car during the summer. C'mon white interior!

    Is $9k worth 310 miles v 220?

I'll risk getting run out of town with following: Save the $9k, and rent a regular ICE car for your trips. It's possible in the future you'd be able to rent an LR Model 3. From an economic perspective it doesn't make much sense to spend a significant amount of money on the extra capacity if...

Current Tesla Owners Who Ordered A Model 3 - Do you have yours yet?

I don't think Canadians (owners & non-owners) will see invites to configure until mid-2018 at the earliest. Last time I checked my reservation it showed 'Late 2018' as the delivery date.

Any non-employee get to configure their Model 3 yet?

Looks like you were right and I was [gladly] wrong. Based on the continued invites going out, as they say: SH*T JUST GOT REAL :)

Off topic ramblings from the VIN thread

I think a fairer comparison would be the Bolt - which also had a bit of slow start. The Camry (and anything else like it) is a well established platform that Toyota has been cranking out for decades.

    5K/week pushed back to Q2

Uh, dude, Tesla employs 33,000 people, not 330,000. About 10,000 of those are in Fremont.

Any non-employee get to configure their Model 3 yet?

My guess is the execs will get their bonus based on a goal of delivering non-Tesla employee cars by year-end. They probably moved up a select group of non-employees and will return to employee deliveries in January.

    Point A to Point B

True, it’s a modified Fiat 124 but the thinking behind it still led to an abomination of a car.

455,000 active reservations at the time of the July Model 3 event.

I bet some idiot is going to scream the 63,000 have actually been delivered and it's all part of a conspiracy theory / cover up / etc.

What would make you cancel your Model 3 Reservation?

Q: What would make me cancel my Model 3 Reservation? A: Spending too much time on TMC reading endless and possibly baseless complaints :p

The day finally arrives. You get your Model 3! Then what?

A cruise down Nicola Tesla Blvd. of course! Part of Burlington Street is now Tesla Boulevard - but why Hamilton?

    3 Months from Production?

I wonder if they attached the Model 3 dies to the Model S or X stamping equipment. Didn't they sort of mention that in Feb? They probably ran the line for a week or two to stamp out a dozen Model 3's for various testing pursposes and we're probably seeing those on the road now.

    Model 3 Mule Sightings

Wow. Production must be really ramping up. First time we've seen three at once. And is that a model Y we see in the background? ;)

    Oh hell naw!

I think you might be reaching a conclusion without all the facts. I'm waiting until at least the July reveal. As a 25 year long owner of 4 BMWs I feel more let down by BMW than Tesla at this point, and that's only if the model 3 turns out to be a typical cheap plasticky American car. My...

    Oh hell naw!

I bet that if it were the other way around, with the Model S getting 1 screen and Model 3 getting 2 screens, people would be bitching about that too.

Poll: Have you changed your mind?

As a Canadian reservation holder I think dual motor and sub zero will be ready when it's time to configure. If not I'll consider a model S.

New Delivery Process Coming w/Model 3 Rollout

I wonder if they considered "group pick up." Basically a number of people (let's say 20) are scheduled to pick up their car at a given day and time. The store could then hold a group walk through of the car, and give everyone 15-20 minutes to go check their cars and short drive. People that are...

    The Dreaded Exchange Rate (CAD/USD)

Ontario restored the $14k incentive on BEV's up to $150k ($CDN) by removing the $3k cap. Main beneficiary appears to be Tesla buyers :) Ontario Making Electric Vehicles More Affordable Of note: they will re-examine the incentive yearly, next review is Fall 2017.

Can Non-California residents pick their car up in Fremont?

So what happens to international orders? As a Canadian I'd love to do a factory delivery but not if I have to pay CA taxes. And more optimistically, what happens if the car drives itself to my door? :) Ref: "Mind Blowing AP 2.0" Autopilot 2.0

    The M3 terrifies BMW

As a life long BMW owner* and (now former) fan boy I am thoroughly embarrassed BMW would resort to something this stupid. Only thing I can think of is they're trying to sway the rabid BMW fanatics. *My car ownership history. (I've been a member of the BMW Car Club of America for about 20 years...

    Vegan option?

I hate the ridiculous Dakota Leather in my 335i, but there was no other choice. It's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to ordering my model 3.
