Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I have some small bumps that are more like mini knots. They developed as I was stretching the material so everything fit tight. Mine seem to be permanent.
What I did to prevent this kind of unfortunate timing problem (if my car had a problem) is pay with a convenience check from my credit union. They don't get my money until I give them the check from my credit union and they don't get the check unless I get the car.
After many, many design iterations, I have a cup holder insert that properly fits the Tesla Model 3 cup holders, and also keeps Starbucks coffee cups (tall, grande, and venti) steady. Here's a pic. (Orange is the prototype color. It will normally be black).
I understood that different delivery centers store the die cast car in different places. Some place it in the frunk. Others in the center console under the tray.
I understood that some people had issues with Tesla accepting a personal check. With that in mind, if you are taking out a loan, many credit unions (and possibly banks) will issue you a convenience check for the funds derived from the loan. This is different than a cashiers check in that the...
I’ve noticed a vibrating rattle or subtle squeaking sound coming from the drivers door while driving at highway speeds. If I grab the interior door grab handle firmly, it goes away until I release. Anybody else notice this?
I've noticed when playing certain music on the stereo, there is a static/distortion sound. Its a bit rare, but it does come from time to time. Anybody else notice this? The last case was when playing a song called "What's on your Mind" by Information Society. Is anybody able to reproduce it?
If the sales advisor is anything like mine was, you won't be able to ask to many questions. Mine seemed to be eager to get to the next call. Basically, make appointment, figure out payment, etc. My sales advisor's role seemed to be to make sure all the transactional details were accounted for.
What do you think happens when you run that towel across the paint? All that dirt doesn't magically disappear because there are suds and a soft towel.
I've been watching a bunch of videos on car detailing the past week, and my favorite is this guy:
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing
That sucks. I'd hate to be surprised by a carfax hit when trying to sell my car 8-10 years from now. Should running a Carfax report be on the delivery check lists now?
i has an electrician install a NEMA 14-50 just before taking delivery of my Tesla. Once I had the car, I discovered my UMC plug doesn’t fully sink into the NEMA 14-50 outlet. There is about a 4mm gap where I can see the other plug prongs. Isn’t this a big no-no? Does anybody else have this issue?
I was finally able to get the console wrap installed, with a couple of small “knots” that just won’t come out, and imperfect finish around the cup holder (both my fault) The color (matte black) goes well with the car, and the material seems like it will protect the plastic. I’d like to try some...
What does “too hot” mean? I was in my garage with temp in the mid 70’s. I don’t know what to do about that when the video says to turn off the AC. And I was calm up until the material started misbehaving. I was about 45 minutes in before the first piece got tangled up on itself. I don’t see that...
I finally got the backup cup holder on using the backuo vinyl. Now, I’m supposed to use a razor blade to cut along the rim. After going through this first part, there is no way I’m trusting the video on how easy this is supposed to be without scratching the underlying plastic.
Sorry, I have to disagree. I’m 45 minutes in to installing the matte black wrap. Taking a break in an attempt to salvage things.
I ruined the first cup holder piece, and I’m struggling with the backup. I regret buying it. It’s a constant battle with one part sticking while working another...
I now have my TM3, and when I try the VIN trick, I see my VIN. My guess is that those without a VIN simply don't see the reservation number. So, if you have a VIN, you'll see a VIN. If you don't, you'll see the message about it being a gift.
I’ve had my TM3 for several days now. I am coming from a Prius and a 4Runner, so maybe my experience isn’t quite up to par with others here. With that said, I have no idea what all the fuss is about with cabin noise. I haven’t once thought that the ride was noisy. Maybe it’s because I’m normally...
My eyes tell me that more and more people are driving the TM3. Where I used to see a TM3 once a week, now I see at least one every day as I drive around random parts of Orange County.
Should I have received a couple of cables for USB charging with my car? I thought two cables were included (iPhone and non-iPhone), but I opened up the front of center console area and nothing is connected.
