I've tested the car on some deserted back streets. Track mode off. 3.2 0-60 mph. 11.7 quarter mile.

I had the same thoughts. When I go i'll try both ways.

Question for you guys. I'm taking my PD3+ to the drag strip. For the best times do you think I should use "track mode" or leave it disengaged? Thanks.

If that's true...that's total BS on Tesla's part. I love my Tesla, but this kind of crap is unacceptable. As soon as Audi, BMW or Mercedes catch up regarding EV's. I know I'll never buy another Tesla...unless they start treating existing customers better.

No 2's ever for the M3. You don't know that. The Model S has already hit 2.3 0-60. So a 2.9 0-60 M3 is possible and still slower than a Model S.

No way the Tesla 3 maxxed out will be 100k. It's competition is the BMW M3 or Audi S4. The S4 tops out at 64k. The BMW M3 tops out at 80k. Tesla's goal is to surpass the competition. They can't do that if they're priced 15-20k higher than the competition.

I think I was at the slowest store. UTC San Diego. Got in line at 9;30 am, Was done at 2:30 pm. 5 hrs. There were hundreds of people ahead of me when I got there.

This car is suppose to compete with the BMW 3 series. That should not just include performance ...but also appearance. I've never owned a BMW. So no bias here. But I definitely think the BMW and especially the BMW M3 is much more attractive.

I test drove and optioned out a 70D 2 weeks ago. The car was 83K before any tax credits. I liked the car a lot. However I'm thinking I would love a Tesla M3 PXXD (ludracris) model a lot more. Probably for the same price or maybe even less. Do I get the 70D now or wait? I've always liked the BMW...
