The chargers are being turned on and off intermittently because they are in testing phase. I tried to plug in there today and got zero kW.
They are not performing consistent enough to be considered useable. Better to play it safe.
Just a heads up, this supercharger has been very inconsistent so far. Lots of folks unable to charge whatsoever.
Hopefully that gets sorted out over the weekend
supercharger technicians spotted at Regina location tonight. They mentioned we should be getting a Christmas present, but the chargers might be activated sporadically across the TransCanada
I can only speak for Davidson and Regina, but we had two separate crews. The inital construction crew who dug the holes, ran the conduit and built the concrete pads.
The second work group were the electricians. They moved the cabinets into place and connected everything.
The construction crew...
Yes, our group did that interview with global news. The Saskatchewan Electric Vehicle Association
The media attention has been crazy related to these level 3 chargers coming online
Here is the link to news story...
We confirmed construction this morning. The manager of the Davidson Coop gas station confirmed there was an excavator on site this morning and they had started. Completion is expected on October
This is huge news for us because there is so much travel between saskatoon and regina for sports...
He got the info thru us at the Saskatchewan Electric Vehicle Association. I spoke directly to the owner of the Red Barn and he said that Tesla had contacted him to cancel the project for this year. There was a formal permit issued from the town and they were very excited about it, I hope Tesla...
I spoke to the construction crew working at the East Regina Walmart. They had no idea what a supercharger was and mentioned they were only doing fiberoptic upgrades underground.
I was also at the East Regina PetroCanada location and they are getting things started. The foreman mentioned they...
Thru the Saskatchewan Electric Vehicle Association, I have invested some time in this search as well over the last month or so. The tricky part is that not every city requires a permit for this kind of infrastructure.
City of Swift current has a formal permit for a supercharger.
Regina doesnt...
Confirmed with the City of Medicine Hat planning department, a permit has been issued for a Tesla supercharger at 1941 Strachan Rd.
Hopefully Tesla gets their act together and builds this location fast. It's a critical gateway charger to BC/Alberta for those of us from Saskatchewan
I have been down both of these roads before. I had a similar experience recently with the city of regina, also.
I got thru to saskpower permit department last fall and it was not a good customer service experience Haha. They kept asking if I was a contractor and why I wanted to know about these...
I would think that red deer would be a perfect location for the new v3 chargers. Lots of traffic between Calgary and Edmonton
But I would like to see any type of supercharger in Saskatchewan first Haha

Well didn't you read my post? Biggest investment in ev charging infrastructure in our provinces history. But that's an easy accomplishment since we don't have any public level 3 as of yet. So pretty much anything is historic.
You guys get a new level 3 charger basically every week in Quebec...
That blue dot has been coming and going from Regina for a while now.
2019 is going to be a huge year for EVs in Saskatchewan. We will get at least 2-3 supercharger locations and 14 level 3 across the province. Thank God for Suncountry and their level 2 network, that's all we currently have.
Yes I did. He had a running list of things to check outside of my specific requirement. Efficient and gentle with the car.
Professional guy, easy to talk to. I hope I didn't annoy him too badly haha
Hey guys. Over the last week I have been having problems with the charge port on my model 3. I'm repeatedly getting an error "charge cable unlatched, fully insert cable into car". Now this happens using any type of charger, and the interior of charge port is clean. No deformities inside the...
I realize that the deployment of superchargers is probably proportional to cars sold and population base... But its hilarious to hear everyone complain about superchargers when they have 10 in their province already. Plus you have level 3 options.
You guys don' know how good you have it, seriously.
Although construction does slow down in the winter, building still happens in central Canada in the winter. Just need to hoard things in and keep things heated. I don't think that building a supercharger here in the early winter or spring is out if the question.
Hey everyone
The sask electric vehicle association is having a coffee meet up tomorrow afternoon in Regina at 1:30 pm. 2705 quance street. Le macaron
Anyone is welcome
Well, the supercharger permit in Regina (2150 Prince of Wales) is back according to supercharge.info. 12 stalls listed
