Current new BMW owner here & firm believer in Elon's vision. Will also be getting Teslas soon.

That's not happening because of constant R&D, retooling. Elon's the type to forgo short-term profits in order to achieve the bigger picture, which is a constant. Though at this rate, it's quite easy to believe Tesla will be profitable in the next few years.

Yup, I'm for sure going to test drive it first before buying. Though, the chances of me buying a 3 (or maybe more than 1) is quite high at this point.

This is the wrong kind of paranoia. A lot of folks forget but when GM first came out with the EV1, nearly all mechanics loved it because maintenance was actually A LOT easier. They didn't come home smelling like fuel, oil, & covered with oil stains -- needless to say, they were in shocked!

Yup, 20" are far better on UK roads. The 22" wheels, unless you're really doing some wild manuevers, are unnoticeable on a day-to-day driving.
