I've noticed this problem too and find it disconcerting when I turn off auto-steer and the TACC remain engaged, causing the car to surge in speed. I've found that the most effective solution is to push back once on the autopilot stalk, which disengages both the auto-steer and the TACC.

It's been a good weekend. Besides Father's Day, I saw my first Model X in the wild (a beautiful red P90D) and got word from my DS that my car arrived to the Tyson's Corner-Tyco Rd. Service Center and will be ready for delivery on June 25th!!! It's going to be a great week!!!

My 70D just went into production. I received the email today (May 28) at 4:20 pm. Looks like I will have my car by the end of June!! Good news!!

I reserved at 11am (3/31) at the Tyson's Corner-Tyco Road store (Virginia) and have yet to receive an email. That said, the reservation showed up my Tesla account around 2 am Friday, some 15 hours later.

I'm a daily commuter, too... at least 50 miles per day. For one, I'm looking forward to saving money on gas, some $50 a week. I'm sure I will be taking lots of road trips, too!!!! It will be great!!!
