Hi
I’ve got a set of 4 x 19’ Silver Slipstream wheels and original tyres that came off my Model S. They’ve done about 10,000kms and only have a small amount of curb rash on the front 2. Can be picked up from Brunswick Victoria.
I’ll update with pics as soon as I can.
You can DM me if you’re...
Yeah I think I was just way too casual with it this time.
I doubt it has anything to do with the size of the rims @ShockOnT as I've selected 21" in the settings and they too would definitely have gotten scratched in this same scenario.
I've only used auto park 3 or 4 times but this last time it ran both my brand new Tsportline 20" rims into the curb and cut them up. Will be the last time I use auto park.
Has anyone else experienced this? Might have been to do with the quality of the curb and the sensor not picking up a clear...
I have a recent quote from Natural Solar for a 3kwp system with the powerwall 2 starting at $16,670. This includes a introductory discount of $2990 if you are included in the first shipment of power walls for 2017. The price isn't broken down though it includes the government rebate on the system.
Hey guys would love recommendations for window tinting in Melbourne. Preference for Brunswick area or the peninsula. Also if anyone has had any chrome deleting done here? Thanks
I changed out the trunk, frunk, red door lights and the front and back floor lights as well as the glove box. Everything except the puddle lights as they recommend a more experienced installer for those. The cut outs appear to be present but they are solid rather than just in the carpet so you...
Yep I have a 2016 MS without the premium upgrade and installed all the Abstract Ocean LED's a few days ago. It was all straightforward and all the wiring and cut outs were there. I haven't installed the puddle lights though. Definitely a worthwhile spend.
I went with the resale guarantee mainly because now that these cars are essentially a tech item it's really difficult to know how much value they will loose over the next 3-5 years. Especially once the Model 3 arrives!
Hey so I just received another update for 8.0. I've already been driving with it for the last few weeks is it normal to receive the update a second time. Presume it the same version?
I've only had my model S for a couple of weeks and we all new 2.0 was coming. Sure there was that sinking feeling when I heard the news but you know this car is just the greatest and I love driving it. In 3 years when the time comes to upgrade then 2.0 will be rocking and I'll have had a heap of...
Nice one Jon! I too picked up mine this arvo right after you I think. I didn't mind the peak hour traffic one bit, mainly had it in autopilot the whole way home. Such an amazing machine! We got there in the end and the wait has been more than worth it.
Absolutely you should. It's a lot of fun! Doubt you'll regret it since it's more like a rollercoaster ride and not something you need in your daily drive. Treat it as a trip and get the heart rate up.
I spoke to James on Thursday and was told that they still didn't know when but because of the public holiday on Monday it could be held up. I haven't heard anything since but up until reading jon's post I was thinking that it would be tomorow at the latest. There has definitely been a balls up...
My model s was delivered a couple of weeks back and has the ev sticker on the plates and the $100 discount applied. Not that I can drive it yet since the S60 is still not able to be registered in Oz. I've been assured it will be some time next week.
I asked about the club membership and the deal finished up at the end of June apparently. So I just missed out. Looks like it is only a one year membership though.
Hey Fetz I won't be with the car again until the weekend so can't really help you out with a pic of the back plate. Have you spoken to James in Melbourne? I'm sure he will provide you with all the details of what they are using. I'm surprised that Tesla can't provide you with one. If you are...
Yep fair call. I already have my plates so that part was easy. I haven't heard anything more since I was last told Monday the 3rd. Could be that they are expecting it by COB Monday which for pick up would be Tuesday. Really hoping it's Friday though. Rubber boot mats would be a good call for the...
As much as I want some freebies or discounts there's still that part of me that wants to support Tesla in a way that's not trying to cut into their profits. That said I feel Like I've been pretty damn patient.
I'm pretty sure the vehicle can be insured still without the registration but obvioulsy not driven. I've ensured with Tesla so would be an interesting scenario but one I do not want to go through! Car is secure but it's certainly not an ideal situation. I think they are caught between wanting to...
I had slimline front and back and Tesla fitted them on pick up. They provided the cover for the plate also. All looks great. I'd talk to Tesla direct if I was you.
Yes, problem is the finance company accidentally hit go on the finance which we could have reversed but since I was due to take the car in just a few days I let it go. Then the car was delivered to me on a truck but it's still not yet able to be registered and that date keeps slipping. Initially...
Do you mean Tuesday next week? Starting to feel like a bit of a balls up to me. Didn't the 75 and the 60 get announced at a similar time? The 75 is already approved. Since I ordered the car at the end of June you would think that their month turn around for approval would be done by now. I will...
Thanks Meloccom but I've already got accomodation booked so I could run an extension cord and charge off a 10amp but was wondering if there was an alternative.
How long does it take to get a full charge on the 60 through 10amp? Probably something I should know but I've only had the car for a...
Hey guys I'm taking a trip to Port Fairy in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to work out if there is any charging available? Obviously no super chargers but does anyone know if there are any other options?
Cheers!
Last I heard was that 'The Farm' is for sale. Perhaps that could halt or stall supercharger options? Seems like a logical spot for it though. I saw in the local paper up here this week that the Byron on Byron resort now has 2 tesla chargers too.
Yeah they trucked it. Was a bit of unique scenario because I was going away and initially they didn't want to have to hold on to it but I couldn't drive it so they trucked it. At this stage it looks like Monday 3rd of October will be the day it gets the tick of approval, but there's always a...
so I've actually had the car delivered today. Surreal since I can't actually drive it yet! Just had to walk around it and admire it A LOT. It's in the garage for the next week as we are going away and then apparently from the 3rd I can drive it. There's a chance I could still make it for pizza...
Yes I've been in and gone through the hand over but can't drive it till the 3rd of October. It's been a long wait so I'm just trying to stay cool and calm but I'm so damn ready to drive it! Seems that the 75's went through fine so not sure what the hold up has been with the 60.
Yep I've seen there are lots of of cheaper deals out there but they do seem to come down to driving history, where it's parked etc. With Tesla it's 3 years new for old and $1k excess. I just found with the 3 other quotes I received nothing came in cheaper and Youi wouldn't ensure it at all. So...
Yep speak to tesla insurance. I've gone with them and they provided the cheapest quote at around the 2k mark with 1k excess for a s 60. Also doesn't matter who the driver is or the driver history. Seems that the rest of the insurance companies are getting cold feet.
Almost fully loaded! I actually just added auto pilot to delivery as the price has gone up and they let me have it at the old price since it is just software. Means it's not really that much cheaper once you add in the LCT and Stamp Duty but it avoids any issues with doing it too soon after...
I went with Tesla insurance in the end. Had my broker get 3 quotes and they all came back more expensive. I also struggled to get quotes as the 60 hasn't yet been government approved so it doesn't yet exist on any of their lists. In fact I am meant to be picking up Friday if the government...
The quotes are 12 months and yes it's all under written by QBE who are a large insurer. Seems that the focus is on the vehicle and they're not all that interested in who the driver is. Infact they said to me that the driver details are purely for data and nothing to do with the actual quoting...
