V11 and climate menu: just as simple as a swipe up

I disagree that access through a swipe up is easy, or easier than before. I regularly used the seat heater icons, both of them, as well as the two defroster icons. These should all be on the main page, or available as preferences on the main page, rather than arcade, jukebox or any of the other...

    Adding a second user.

Kinda like the Close door button on elevators. Feels good to be doing something even if nothing changes.

Default home screen rear camera instead of navigation screen.

I prefer to use the rear camera display all the time and would like to be able to choose is as the default screen. When I owned a MS, I was able to split the screen and have one of them be the rear camera all the time, with audio or nav or whatever on the second screen. That was ideal.

    Homelink range is weak/spotty

Ewoodrick - I get the chime as expected, but many times the door does not open, seemingly either because the opener did not get the signal or the signal was not long enough for it to open. But to properly answer your question, when it works the door opens within the time it takes me to drive up...

    Homelink range is weak/spotty

Thanks for the photo. Good to know exactly where it is! Perhaps I am at the end of the intended/possible range with the transmitter under the body. Just seems odd that wife's Toyo has so much greater range. Her transmitter is in the front of the rear view mirror, though, so perhaps her car just...

    Homelink range is weak/spotty

I have had on-again, off-again issues with my M3 Homelink. I never had these issues with a previous MS Homelink interface, FWIIW. I have a consistent issue with the M3 Homelink range. It is often not enough to open my door from the end of my 75 foot driveway. My wife's Homelink in her two year...

Does Sentry Mode fix the USB music restart issue?

I have no idea what the correlation is between Sentry mode and anything else, but can confirm, for me, that since the 5.15 update my usb music starts upon reentry where it left off when I exited. That is a welcome improvement.

    USB Music Playlist Workaround

It appears that the latest firmware (2019..5.15) has fixed the problem of the car not remembering what was being listened to prior to leaving. All times I have returned to the car since the update have resulted in it starting to play my usb music from where I left off. Well done!!

    USB Music Playlist Workaround

I had this problem with my MS some time ago, when the firmware was updated and changed the music interface (same time they removed the vertical alpha display along the right side, before putting it back) and now I have it with the M3. Too bad for me that I like to listen to FLAC and MP3 files of...

Newbie looking to buy a Tesla S

Having lived in Montana with an understanding of your desire for a D, I have owned and driven a P85 witihout D in snow and ice and really did not have any problems. It was a surprise to me, as I thought I needed a D. I was running stock Michelin tires on 19 wheels, and the advice I got was to...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

FWIIW, my USB today started displaying, and playing, tracks in the correct order on albums/folders. The track number is listed, then the track title, and then the file extension. I have not had an update of any sort in 19 days. So, out of nowhere, my music is back on track. :-) I am grateful...

    Firmware 8.0

I got my update yesterday morning (Thursday) and now I have another one this morning (Friday). I am sorry I did not check either version number, but assume the one loading now is the latest and greatest. The more I fiddled with mine yesterday, the more I realized how much I miss being able to...

    Firmware 8.0

One thing which changed on the media player that I sorely miss is the ability to get to artists or albums on my USB drive by touching the letter of the alphabet. Now it appears scrolling through dozens of pages or typing in a search (which did not find my content) are the only two ways to get to...

    Roof Rack Install and Disassembly

Just one thing to add to the discussion -- the tool for installing and removing the 4 bolts which attach to the MS is a 5mm ball end hex key/wrench, which allows it to be used at an angle (necessary). Trying to use a regular allen wrench would be an exercise in frustration. I have found it easy...

Summon from a distance (200+ feet)

Coming out of a building today, 200 feet from her parking spot, my wife looked at her Tesla app and it asked her if she wanted to Summon the car ("Summon Vehicle Now?"). Having not yet practiced with the Summon feature, she did not feel confident in saying yes. Anyone know anything about such a...

    Rear Seat Legroom?

While I, too, hope the X provides a better rear seat experience, I am disappointed that the S rear seat geometry is so compromised. Sitting in the back, I find that I cannot get my feet under the front seats, regardless of their adjustment, meaning my knees are bent more than in other, lesser...
