Best suggestion is to not use autopilot on undivided roads. A Tesla driver was killed (wasn’t paying attention) in a similar situation on autopilot so it sounds like they’ve over compensated for that scenario.

I just got a new MCU and I thought they somehow changed the hardware that prevents high res audio playback. I guess I’m glad it’s a software thing. The media player has been the greatest disappointment with my Tesla.

Mobile tech fixed it for free, I’m out of warranty and he used a saved part from an airbag recall replacement. You don’t need the whole assembly just the scroll wheel. He did the whole thing in about 15 minutes. Way more awesome than shelling out $270 to replace other parts that aren’t broken

Turns out the part is $200 and the labor is $70 ... seems pricey but at least a mobile tech will come out to replace it while I’m at work so that certainly makes it less of a hassle for me.

Yeah this is just super annoying, probably gonna just leave my heated steering wheel on until the summer rolls around. I actually could have turned it off on the way home tonight but it's too much of a hassle to deal with the HVAC turning on and off etc.

Or turn on anything other than front heated seats without first turning on the HVAC system. Sometimes I like to drive with the A/C off but with the heated steering wheel and seat on ... on v8 I'd goto the cold weather package page to turn on these items independently of anything the HVAC system...

If you manually open the charge port door from the charging control screen all your lights will turn off, at least that's the way the lights work on v8 firmware... I haven't upgraded nor have I been given the chance to, doesn't sound like I'm going to given the comments on this thread.

Are you on AP1 or AP2? My car (AP1) will read the posted speed limit signs and adjuste AP accordingly, which is great unless you pass a school zone when school isn't in session
