I experience this in Waco, Texas. On the first part of our trip it was charging at 120 kW. On the return part of our trip, it wouldn't go above 75 kW even when we were the only car there out of the 8 stalls and our SoC was around 18% when we started charging.

I think it depends on your specs (75D vs 90D vs P90D/P100D).

You are likely going to be better off just not taking delivery of the vehicle and losing your $2,500 deposit. I doubt you will be able to resell it at less than a $2,500 loss.

I think the tether is required for forward facing, but not rear facing.

Is it worth the risk to potentially damage the rear lift gate for thousands of dollars of repair and weeks out of service? You will be much better off renting a truck from home depot for $20 per hour (or whatever the going rate is in your area).

Your experience sounds awful, sorry to hear it. Put a deadline on the response from Tesla management. Something to the effect of if we can't come to a resolution of this issue in 2 weeks I will pursue my options under the lemon law.

The expected battery degradation is about 5%. You've already put about a year's worth of average mileage on your car, so what you are seeing feels about right. A comparable 75D would expect about 225 with 100% charge after that much use.

Not sure if this is an X specific problem, but I back my S in every day with the auto garage close and never had an issue with it activating at a time I didn't want it to.

When you exit the vehicle with the key fob, the car will shut off. Just have the passenger touch the screen within a few seconds of when it shuts off and the car will turn back on (systems at least, not sure it would let you drive it) without the fob.

I am 2 months in and still have my original 90% rated range of 262 miles. I charge it to 90% every day, have range mode off, commute to work about 30 miles a day.

I can certainly understand being on a budget, but if you are going to spend $80k+ on a car, make sure it has everything that you want.
