Shuddering When Coming Out of Turn

I still don't have my car back from the SC. It has been 11 days. However, I got a call today and they said they fixed it by replacing the front motor mount. I am picking it up tomorrow.

    P85D (pre/post April) ride performance

Thanks everyone for comments and suggestions. So I have more data to share: 1. End of line date was April 13th, delivered in May. 2. Rear shocks part numbers: 6006352-07-A & 6006353-07-A. Different because one was replaced while attempting to solve a cluncking sound in the rear right. 3...

Shuddering When Coming Out of Turn

@Chasedrgc1223: Good suggestions, will try those variations and post results as soon as I get my car back from SC.

    P85D shock issue (air suspension)

Thanks guys! that is helpful. My SC has not been able to find a problem and is apparently unaware of the revised version of the struts. I will let them know.

    P85D (pre/post April) ride performance

@bradhs, Thanks for the offer. The only thing I can think of is measuring the sway bar diameters and getting the struts' part numbers. However probably not worth your time. Others here have confirmed that the sway bar diameters changed (got smaller) for cars built in April 2015. Your comment...

Shuddering When Coming Out of Turn

Thanks for your comments David99 and Chasedrgc1223. I am not sure we have the same issue so let me describe my situation a bit more carefully. Here are the conditions: 1. Starting from very low speed 0-5 mph. It won't do it if starting from higher speed, presumably because the torque is...

Shuddering When Coming Out of Turn

I might be having this issue and service has not been able to figure out what is wrong; they have had it twice. They replaced the right rear shock / strut but that made no difference. Mine will shudder under hard acceleration from 0-5mph and shudder for a second or so. The amplitude of the...

    P85D shock issue (air suspension)

Did anybody with the rear-right knocking sound ever get is solved. Mine is still doing it and service has looked at it twice with no solutions.

Some P85Ds being delivered with non-staggered wheels

Looks like staggered is back for P85D and P90D. Heard this from delivery manager in the north east (US).

    P85D (pre/post April) ride performance

Apparently this is a matter of preference and some are happy with their vehicle configuration in either case. Sadly I am not one of them. And additionally I have not found that Tesla is doing right by their customers by avoiding this issue. No one at the service center or at vehicle delivery has...

Some P85Ds being delivered with non-staggered wheels

I called the SC today and they said that they have not seen any P85D's delivered with staggered setup. Of course they offered to sell me the wider wheels and tires if I want that but warned me that they are testing the car only in the square setup. Unfortunately I let my frustration show a bit...

Finally! Picking up my new P85D today--what should I look for?

One thing I missed was the staggered (265 in back and 245 in front) tire setup. Apparently TESLA is shipping them with both square and staggered setups regardless of how you ordered it. Check for that.

Some P85Ds being delivered with non-staggered wheels

My P85D was delivered on May 8th 2015 with the square setup. I had specifically asked for the staggered, yet I still drove the car away that day. I had had enough of waiting to get it. I am now going to go back to the SC and ask about this and see if they honor my original request.

    P85D shock issue (air suspension)

I think my P85D has this issue as well; banging sound from the right rear when going over bumpy roads / speed bumps. Car was delivered in May 2015 and has 1100 miles. Thanks MarkG for the post, I was starting to think about debugging this myself but now I will just talk to the folks at the SC...
