    Throttled supercharger speeds

How did you find out how many kWh you’ve received? I’d like to know. My supercharging keeps getting throttled lower and lower, starts at about 45kw and goes to about 15. Really Tesla, 1.5C to 4C???? Clearly a free supercharging slap in our face. The funny thing is that when supercharging was...

Tesla supercharger throttling lawsuit how to join

And btw, I have the 2020.48.37.1 update and it made my 2013 model S even worse..... peak of 40kw, really Tesla! Wonder if they’ll raise it again once my warranty is up in May. Please publish the name of the lawsuit for this. Googling keeps coming up with the range limitation lawsuit.....

Tesla supercharger throttling lawsuit how to join

Just supercharged today and this is getting even worse. At 25% battery I was at 40kw. I end up having to spend over an hour camping in a charging spot. This has gotten progressively worse over the last year. Has anyone been able to contact Tesla and have them undo this? Time for me to look...

    Supercharger - Rockledge, FL

No lines are painted yet, but they are close to being centered with the bollards. I would think that would be centered in the spot.

    Supercharger - Rockledge, FL

Latest pictures (14FE), definitely a 12 stall site. Weird orientation. Not parallel to curb. Also seems like they installed them backwards. Although with how far the pilings are from the charger maybe they need that orientation to reach the car. The only other thing I can think of is, maybe...

    Supercharger - Charleston, WV

Charleston WV supercharger!! I may have the most travel impactful "supercharger opening" story yet. Next week we are driving from Florida to visit my wife's family, about 70miles south of Charleston. We then drive back to Florida and then fly out a day later from Orlando to Detroit (4...

So the dealership replaced my emptying dripping goo one with one with tiny bubbles...... I guess it's better at least.....

    bubbles on touchscreen

I just joined the leaking screen club. Hope they replace my carpet as well..... MS 2013 10xxx 39000 miles This reminds me of the old drive unit epidemic.

    OPT7 LED headlights

I never did a 30ft picture of the Halogens, only the side by side 6ish foot with alot of stuff in the way..... This was also the non-X fluxbeam.
  12. marcad80

    OPT7 LED headlights

Very valid points. The one thing I liked about the OPT7 was their arcbeam lens. It's a separate lens they install on top of the led to get as wide as beam pattern as they can. Supposedly 120 deg per side, so 240 total. Still short of 360 though..... I did replace my Fluxbeam with the new...

    Supercharger - Columbia, SC

I used this charger this weekend on a drive back from West Virgina. Was able to gap this to Savannah in a 60! No more out of the way Santee! Parking spots are in a very bad location. They are very iceable. All spots would have been iced when I arrived except they had roped a couple off to...

    OPT7 LED headlights

The cutoff is great identical to the OEM. And the light distribution is also great, as good than the OEM (which is really amazing for an LED). The luman power level is also great, as good or better than OEM. Then why don't they look perfect. Not the rest of this is just an investigative...

    OPT7 LED headlights

Update on the OPT7 Fluxbeams. After working with the OPT7 folks, I installed the ECM capacitors (that actually came with the bulbs) and the "bulb out" warning indicator issue went away. They now run like the OEM halogens on the little toy car. The lights are really nice. I love the "color"...

    110V for short commute?

Do I think I know more than Tesla Engineers???? Hilarious. That's why I said "I don't have alot of evidence on this" As far as the fan goes, charging at less than 1000w, I don't even hear the fan on at all. I guess a fan being off will shorten it's life though..... But again, I don't have any...

    110V for short commute?

I do it everyday. In fact I use 110v at a 8 amp charge rate. I have a 10mile commute. I also think it is easier on the battery.... Don't have alot of evidence on this other than a couple of articles I've read, and the fact that I still have 204 out of 208 miles of range at 33k miles. I have...

    OPT7 LED headlights

As far as the noise, it's like a laptop fan. I can only hear it when the garage door is closed. Definitely quiter than the other fan noises the car makes.... As far as the brightness, I would like them to be brighter, but I said the same thing about the Halogen. If the newly released X...

    OPT7 LED headlights

The bulb on the left is the LED, the right is the OEM Halogen. I will now be replacing them with the new X style.... I'll take a left / right picture of the old LED and the X LED when I do this. At this point their Web site says the new X is not available in 9005 yet. The web site says they...

    OPT7 LED headlights

The toy cars headlights are going on a off, let and right independent of each other. I'm guessing the fan motor in the LEDs is varying speed based on the temp of the bulbs, and crossing the "dead bulb" wattage detection threshold. We're the LED you tried the OPT7? What kills me here is just...

    OPT7 LED headlights

I bought them straight off the OPT7 website. 100 dollars and free shipping. Make sure you get the 9005 bulb style. My box has a sticker on it that reads 95-HL-6.

    OPT7 LED headlights

I have done alot of investigation on LED headlights and have come to the conclusion that the OPT7 should be what I purchase. The main reasons being the CREE LED choice they made, the compact electronics, cooling system, and all the reviews I read. I couldn't find anywhere that they were...

    Acceleration Reduced.... new problem

this is part of the battery warranty, the contactors are actually inside the battery module. I wasn't realm excited about them removing and opening the battery pack to get to them. This was a repair that used to only be done in California. But not anymore.

    Acceleration Reduced.... new problem

the fault came on in the middle of my trip. I believe it was a series of 6 superchargers that kicked the fault limit counter over the max. But after the fault came on I was still able to complete the return trip of 700 miles and 5 superchargers on reduced power mode to successfully make it home...

6th drive unit replacement and more

the one thing I have noticed about Tesla service is that sometimes they are not really skilled at normal car problems. A car that swirves based on accel or brake is usually based on a suspension problem. IE tie rods are damaged, grommets are damaged. Some car designed use the independent axels...

    Acceleration Reduced.... new problem

I asked the roadside assistance person, but she was only relaying messages from the only service center that was open in the area, and they closed while we were talking. I gathered from her information that she thought this was a new error code, probably added in the last update. No other...

    Supercharger — Kingsland, GA

Go for it! I had a miss calculation on mileage from Savanna to Kingsland and I undercharged at Savanna and left myself in trouble. There is a Nissan dealer about 35 miles north of Kingsland with always available 240/30, and a Chaedmo charger (if you have the adapter) right off the freeway. If...

    EMF Radiation

I just got off a long trip in my Model S, the whole family in the car, wife and two children. After the trip we had absolutely no noticeable effect from this car. In fact after we arrived, we test drove a Model S and thought it would be a great car if we ever had children. If I ever get...

Very cool extension cord to have in case

That's about what I noticed when it would current limit. On a good power supply it will work to 40amps without current reducing. The wire is a soow 12awg 6 pole. Each pole is running 2 12 awg wires in parallel so the wire is very flexible. Its gauge equivalent to a 9 awg with a little better...

[Rant] locals clogging the Highland Park, IL supercharger

Please don't take 100 miles as the right distance, I just picked that arbitrarily. The trick would be to pick a distance that's within the circle that these abusers are in. IE: Some greater distance than the average from home to work. I hadn't considered the legit users that need a close...

[Rant] locals clogging the Highland Park, IL supercharger

Take a note from AT&T and there unlimited cell phone internet usage.... Every supercharger within 100 miles of your home, Tesla limits to 5kW charge rate. Slower than the HPWC's. Therefore Tesla meets its contractual requirement of unlimited charging in the SC network, any local needing an...

PAST EVENT: Tesla Shootout at StreetCarDrags Palm Beach International Raceway

Sad to read about the cancellation. I had a car filled with my two sons and dad, and I didn't read the email until I was near the St. Lucie SC, so I turned around there. But..... as I stopped in St Lucie to charge, saw 5 MS's (most I've ever seen at a SC) talked to some cool Tesla owners...

    Firmware 7.1 - "downgraded" my 70 to a 60 (visual issue only?)

Be careful S60 owners! I figured that if 70's got changed to 60's than my 60 must have gotten changed to a 70! I pushed the Autopilot on the cruise lever and my car drifted into a telephone poll.......... so...... be careful.

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

I was comparing a Cadillac CT6 to a Dodge Dart today. I couldn't believe the Dodge Dart was half the price of the CT6! It even gets better gas mileage! Can't believe they can sell Cadillac's when there are Darts out there at those prices.

    Just bought a P85D.. did I make a mistake?

These comments about the stereo options may be a little debated but. I have been an audiophile from as far back as the 87 with my Carver 1.0 amp, Bose 901, and NAD preamp. But since then I have been a huge student of audio systems, and sound control. All the way to working at GM in the NVH...

    Supercharger - Asheville, NC

you have to wait for the mysterious "White Tesla" to show up. Based on reports from Kingsland, it will be there a few hours with someone sitting in it, car plugged in, man with a laptop, then walla, a few hours later the dot will show up on the map as ready. I think its kind of like Santa...

    Drafting at Highway speed..It works

Just traveled from Florida to West Virginia drafting most of the time. 20 or so feet behind Semis, I learned quick to look for the rigs that have very good mud flaps. Learned this after taking a rock to the windshield. it basically allowed me to run at 80mph, at the energy or 65....
