    Model 3 leasing

This is not true for Ontario: The Ontario Ministry of Finance will be issuing cheques annually in equal amounts for the full rebate as long as you lease for three years or more. Lease to own is fine for this province. Tesla lawrence also explained that the government rebate is passed along to...

Best way to have lowest Lease?

3rd party leasing companies exist. Reducing the captial cost of a lease can be done by negotiating the sale price (good luck), placing cash down, or trading in a car. Most likely the low payments were due to a trade-in if it wasn't cash.

    Accelerated production a mistake...

This is really cool! So maybe you can answer the question that others in the car industry didn't want to think about when I asked them: Will these auto car brands adapt to the pace of fast innovation once google, apple and tesla all get involved by virtue of redesigning themselves as companies...

    Accelerated production a mistake...

You're probably right, but I would still blur the lines between model years once tesla attains a level of manufacturing competency that puts them in the lead in that space alone. They are aiming to be the world's best manufacturer. This car will definitely have features off the table that were...

    Colours thread

This looks good.. definitely what I had in mind. Would love to go darker on the handles on my model 3

    Accelerated production a mistake...

Kind of kills tesla's competitive advantage, though: close feedback loop, constantly iterating on the product as changes are ready for production, and vertical integration. Am curious to see how their take on manufacturing unfolds in the next 48 months. As a layperson, I cannot appreciate the...

    Colours thread

Can we get some ideas on new colours? I want to see satin grey (almost matte but easier to maintain). I hope that many choicea become available from the factory as different colours will make the model 3 more individualistic and a personal statement - thus more in demand in my opinion despite...

    Model 3 leasing

We're not in total disagreement, but the statement that 'leasing is generally a bad idea ' is not a bad idea at all in any case when compared to a new finance. I'd argue that financing pre-owned at half the value in 3 years and riding it out for 10 years makes way more sense, if one is...

    Model 3 leasing

I'd disagree, at least for the Canadian side of things. Leasing is akin to a sound business decision for personal use insofar as tech goes, because of the rate of change of inmovation in the ev space - more specifically teslas. The premise of leasing is that ownership costs are fixed over a...

    Model 3 leasing

I spoke with the Ontario Ministry of Finance and if you lease, you receive the rebate in annual and equal increments.

Part 2 of Unveil - Uber-type ability to rent out your car

Pretty sure Musk's most-optimistic timeline is now 3 years - down from 5.. not including regulation. Still, very probable that the redundant hardware that he believes is essential to full autonomy will be in the model 3. The rest is arguably software.

    Rentals - Anyone interested

I'd rent one. How about posting a rate schedule in the thread?

    Model 3 financials: Ownership

I live in Ontario Canada, and wanted to walk through the financials of owning a model 3. No debt on my books except a mortgage $190k and am single. $75k gross a year. Car is paid off. I spend $400 - $500 per month on gas. Cdn model 3: $40 000 Cdn - $7 500 rebate = $32 500 / 500 = 65 months. I...
