It is the lane departure warning. In my opinion it is too sensitive, particularly for city or neighborhood driving. You can turn it off.

Yeah, I was thinking "you know you can just touch the thing and it opens, right?" Didn't realize this was a new feature. It also closes automatically when you remove the charger.

I replied earlier in this thread that my new 70D with pano roof had survived it's first very hard rain. So yesterday I was driving, after a moderate rainstorm--but not currently raining--and when I was slowing down approaching a light a few drops fell on my head. Very odd that it didn't leak...

I've been worried about this too. I've had my 70D (with pano roof) for about two weeks now. Just experienced the first prolonged hard rain and the roof did fine. I did notice, however that when I pulled into the garage and opened the trunk, a lot of the draining water splashed into the trunk...

There's not really anything there that doesn't have to be replaced, except for the body. And they have to do it without a factory. I'm guessing they're gonna call that totaled.

Wow, same boat here. 70D order confirmed one week ago. Also live in an apartment without a charging option. Not worried a bit. Can't wait.
