Just to clear things up. Nothing's blocking the radar on my car. There's certainly no snow in August. No dirt that I can see. As I said before there was a small water spot there the first time but it's been clean now. That being said I find it ridiculous that we're all waiting for the autopilot...

Unfortunately I had to put on a front license plate since they are mandatory in NY (yes I already got a ticket for driving with the rear only) so I'll just use a license plate mounted ezpass when it arrives. havent tried the nose cone.

Btw, careful with the "black ezpass spot". I have gotten stuck at the toll 3 times so far and resumed sticking the ezpass out the window until I get the license plate mounted one. Tesla really needs to figure out the ezpass situation.

Funny, I am picking mine up tomorrow as well :) The Long Island Tesla Store that I am picking it up from is sending a limo to pick me up and bring me there. It's about an hour and a half from me so it's good that I don't need to arrange the transportation myself. Looking forward to tomorrow...

You actually CAN replace the internal sim card and have full internet access without a wifi hotspot which is not as elegant of a solution. It would just require removing the main screen and quite a bit of disassembly.

I saw a Russian video on this. Tesla doesn't have official support for that part of the world so their data connection don't work limiting the features of the car. In order to fix that they have to replace the sim cards with the local ones. They said that in order to get to the sim card holder...

Entitlement? Nothing like that here. In my case I requested a specific delivery date which they changed (delayed). Sounds like they changed the date here as well. Nothing wrong with complaining when they are in the wrong.

Want it earlier? Call your DS and complain :). I had the delivery date change on me. Called, and voila, my MS is already in production so I expect to get it this month.

Did it happen less than 3 years after the car was made? I, in no way, want to diminish the value of the MS but if they are getting inferior materials from their suppliers I am sure they should know and cracking on a practically brand new car is not acceptable. It should be covered under warranty.

Good to know. People posting this made me nervous as I am getting the car to drive it, not be paranoid about every scratch and scuff. Not that I like getting those but I got good with polishing compounds over the years and most of them buff out easily.

Just proves my point. I wonder if the fragility of the leather TM uses has something to do with the same rules/regulations in CA which are responsible for the paint being so thin and fragile? Once again I have never had to take any special care of my of my last 3 BMWs and they all looked good...

Seriously? I have never had that happen on any of my BMWs and I always park outside in direct sun, it gets hot around here and I am a big guy so the seats get a beating. I've never conditioned the leather or really took any special care of it. Makes me happy I got the multitextured seats (cloth)...

I agree absolutely. The leases TM offers are not good, not good at all. The $5k downpayment is a deal breaker unless you can do what I do and write off the else payments. In that case they leasing starts to make sense and becomes very attractive, to me at least.

I'm also curious to see who an average Tesla driver is. For me it's a perfect fit based on what I do, which is run an electric bicycle company. Once my MS comes in I'll be fully electric on the road and bicycle path.

Just checked my Tesla page and the delivery changed to late June :). I never asked for June :) just like I never asked for late August. Is anyone else having the same issues?

Just spoke with my rep and moved the production date to July :). As long as they can keep to the schedule, it works for me.

Even so, I can pick late june as a delivery date for a 70D in the design studio right now. What reason could there be not to be able to manufacture one by early august? Just make it in june and ship it in late july so it gets here in early august.

I'll see if that's possible considering that my order is confirmed already. My original goal was to avoid overlapping 2 leases, if possible, but I guess it is not.
