NEMA 14-50 setup. - No Longer Available

Well, I also have a 40 amp breaker. I just really don't like the attitude of a lot of people here, who think they are an authority to say what's what. You can't prove who anyone is on the internet, so why should I take anyone's word on knowing electrical code.?? Best thing to do, pay $1500...

Alright fine. Character is so important. So, there,... ALL parts completely unrelated to each other.

NEMA 14-50 setup. - No Longer Available

Don't be a troll. Just because you people have your bubble in here and you think you are immune to the internet, doesn't mean that you are voice of reason. And if someone buys the stuff and installs them themselves, that's their g-damn fault. Not mine. You can go to a gun store, and buy a gun...

NEMA 14-50 setup. - No Longer Available

Ok, And all of this is relevant to the sale of these items....HOW?? Why don't you stop harassing people with your elitist views, and ground yourself. This is the internet, sir, nobody cares what you think, if you were not aware of that.

NEMA 14-50 setup. - No Longer Available

Hmm. I don't know, my electrician installed this. I'm not an electrician, but he installed it up to code, according to him. Well, if you can't use this wire, I'll sell the box and the conduit by themselves. I've been using it for about a year now, never had any issues at all. :/

NEMA 14-50 setup. - No Longer Available

lol. No. I'm selling it for whatever a good offer is. I put 999.99 as the price so that it would be a ridiculous number that noone would buy this for. I'll take a "reasonable offer". ;)

NEMA 14-50 setup. Hi there. I bought a HPWC, so, I'm getting rid of my NEMA 14-50 I had before. Here is what is included in this lot. 1. NEMA 14-50 plug box. - with safety closing lid. 2. 8/3 Wire (Hot, cold, Neutral, Ground) - 15' Feet, give or take some inches. 3. PVC Above Ground...

Color Schemes - PROJECT: Silver Blade Black Knight

Ever since I've started researching Teslas, and ever since I've played around with the color schemes offered by the manufacturer, I've come up with my own, for every color offered. I'll make some photo-shops for all the current schemes. Ever since I bought my 60kwh last year, I've wanted to add...

    21" charcoal wheels staggered

How much for the whole thing?
  12. L

    21" charcoal wheels staggered

That sounds about right. But they are still allowed to sell them, and still allowed to mount on any Tesla, as far as I'm concerned. They ARE a pretty penny though. Much more than buying them as a pack. I think last time I asked, it was like $1495.00 a pop.
  13. L

    21" charcoal wheels staggered

Well, they don't offer the staggered anymore, for one. But most service centers have wheels in stock. My store is in Austin Texas. And they had no issue selling me an extra one because one that I brought was warped. But then again, I have a really good relationship with the service center. But...

Help me decide what to buy!!

Yeah, that's the plan. Keep it for a good while, at least until we see the Model 3, and see what it's all about. Who knows, maybe it WON'T be worth it, and Model S owners will bask in our triumph of owning our cars. - - - Updated - - - Oh, believe me, I've been there. My first car was exactly...

Well, this thread took a turn for the humorous.....let's keep it going. So, don't Homer Simpson your tesla?....got it.

Help me decide what to buy!!

Yeah, I Agree with the depreciate rate. But in the long run, as I've experienced before, the higher tier vehicles will retain the girth of their value, as opposed to a sure sharp decline from the base models. Right now, I'm still going for the Red P85. Tech support has assured me there's...

    Parking Sensors....upgrade...

Well, I found this install page on TesTAP. It looks pretty easy (relatively speaking). But if I Can't get screen on the dashboard to show it, I don't even want to consider it. Aside from the convenience of it, I want it to be an investment, and something that a potential buyer will appreciate in...

    Parking Sensors....upgrade...

So, I've seen a couple of harnesses for about 100 bucks each on ebay. Is this a DIY at all??....It doesn't sound to me that it's any more than remove the bumpers, plug and play, find the right spot to, look for the right connections, etc. I've done similar jobs on my past BMWs. The retrofit...

Help me decide what to buy!!

And you know this for a fact? So, you're telling me that I have no grounds to base my opinions....yet YOU have the grounds to base YOUR opinion?? Because I only said "A loaded car of last year will be worth more" You made the BOLD claim to say that "P85s and +" have lost more value than the...

Help me decide what to buy!!

You're absolutely right. Listen, this coming from experience in buying/owning/reselling/rebuilding cars.....my Tesla is my 14th car I've ever owned. That's a lot, especially for most people my age. But here is the reasoning. I come from BMWs. And in 2005, at the E46 chassis (considered by...

Help me decide what to buy!!

Oh yeah, first thing I would do, on the first day, is take it to the service center to get an annual inspection. My insurance company won't insure it fully. But then again, I'd like to think that Tesla owners are not really that worried about money expenditures. :/
  24. L

Help me decide what to buy!!

Silver is my preferred color, actually. But, I have bad past experiences with buying rebuilt, or "fixed" cars before. HOWEVER, and a HUGE HOWEVER, ...they were ICEs. Teslas are a whole different concept. And I once tried the "Salvaged/Rebuilt" route. The sellers said it was completely fine...

Black with Silver Color Roof. Opinion??

LOL....well put. It's like "The inverse of a great concept is not necessarily as great as the original concept." A mohawk is kind of cool. The inverse is George Costanza bald. So, not exactly the same. LOL

Help me decide what to buy!!

The color is not the problem, I just know my ultimate perfect car is Silver with the Pano roof. But, I have driven all models, from the 40 to the 70D. I honestly can't really tell the difference except for the Ps, especially the P85D, and that's only as far as torque is concerned. So, I don't...
  27. L

Help me decide what to buy!!

Oh, I had the 21". I don't really mind the wear and tear of the wheels. Besides, it really depends on your driving. I drive like and old man, so, my tires will last probably just as long as regular tires.
  28. L

Black with Silver Color Roof. Opinion??

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Though, I'm not exactly what you mean by "triangle"... Like, an isosceles, or an acute, or an obtuse?? And how? I think my idea would work if the roof wasn't so wide. But I think racing stripes is a bit too much. I think it crosses over the realm of tacky, for...

Help me decide what to buy!!

I mean, not to play devil's advocate, but why not go for the rebuilt. The rebuilt has a 55k price tag, while the CPO is 10k more. But there are no faults, and I've checked with Tech Support, and they see nothing wrong with it. So, what's the worst that could happen by getting the Rebuilt...

Help me decide what to buy!!

So, I have the chance to get one of two vehicles: 2013 P85 Red MC, Pano, Tech, 19"Turb, Leather Int, Susp BUT it has a Rebuilt title. OR 2013 85 Silver, Pano, Tech, 21" Turb, Leather Int, Susp CPO What do I do??!! What do you guys think of Rebuilt titles?? I checked the vin with Tech...

Black with Silver Color Roof. Opinion??

LOL. Thanks guys. Yeah, that's what I thought. But then again, you never know until you actually see it in person, right? For all we know, I just found out a scheme that no one thought of and it's the most awesome scheme. Kinda like the BMW with the M3 scheme of pearl white with the black top...

Black with Silver Color Roof. Opinion??

I'm thinking of painting or wrapping (with vinyl wrapping) the roof of my black one, since I don't have the sunroof and I think it looks kinda boring. I photoshopped a picture. What do you guy think??

    "Upgrading" to a bigger battery.

Thank you so much. I asked before at the service center, and they gave me a very similar answer. I have looked into other retrofits and upgrades, and yeah, they all have astronomical tag prices. Unfortunately, with mostly every upgrade and retrofit, it's worth selling your car, and buying a...

(Install not to code) Project: Save $1500

I'm not arguing in favor of this install. All I am saying is that you, and some others keep saying that I should do this or that, when this thread OBVIOUSLY started out as a non-compliant installation. I don't care, nor anyone else should here, for that matter, whether you have extensive...

(Install not to code) Project: Save $1500

Well, that would be the sensible thing. Some record of some kind that releases your liability over it. But then it just becomes a battle of your word against their word. What I'm thinking of doing is finish installing this 100% up to code, and then get a permit for it, and see how worthless...

Ok, not in my county. It is only a fine, upheld by the local municipality. NOT by law enforcement. You get a ticket in the mail, just like you would by not cutting your grass. In my county, you will NOT get arrested for this, unless you cause a fire, or accident. I know this because I asked...

(Install not to code) Project: Save $1500

I don't have to know or not know the license status of everyone or anyone in this forum. There is no ABSOLUTE way to prove anyone's licenses in this forum legally. "Upgrading" to a bigger battery.

Actually, I WAS told that it needs a firmware update to "recognize" the battery. HOWEVER, don't 85s have a bigger motor??....or am I thinking of something else??.....
  41. L

    "Upgrading" to a bigger battery.

So, I've seen batteries here and there (ebay) 85s for sale. Some for around 12k. Now, is this actually possible??? to uninstall the 60kwh and install an 80 kwh in its place??...also, WHO would actually be able to do that? I for sure know the service center won't do it, or a Tesla-approved shop...

(Install not to code) Project: Save $1500

Yeah, I did my previous NEMA 14-50. And same thing, it ran cooler than anything else, because I did it right. I didn't take a picture of the finished product, and I can't until I reopen the panel, because I have to install the 100amp breaker. I have to use a 50amp right now because my line...

What's the worst Charge to range result you've gotten.

Well, I understand where you're coming from and I know I come across like that. No I will not only accept an admission of guilt, but the thing is all I've been getting is people reading off of a script every time they explain what's "wrong" with my battery. And actually, to further prove this...

What's the worst Charge to range result you've gotten.

Not sure what you tried to say with "Not done". Yes, I got the same battery pack. I don't think Tesla messed anything up, I just think the update they did was meant to prevent issues, but in the process, brings down the range, or total projected range, etc. Like a "limiter" of some sort. And...
