I have the same issue in my 2015 85D. The car doesnt charge to 100%. Another odd thing is that if I set it to charge to 70% it regularly says charging complete at 68%.

Last year I drove Oslo-Arezzo. The trip is approximately 2300km. I would have loved for the trip planner to suggest possible overnight stays along the way at places with destination chargers. Would have saved me from a lot of googling and calling.

I am not familiar with the snow conditions in CT. If you drive mostly in snow/ice conditions and not so much wet asphalt , I would recommend nokian hakkapeliitta r2. It's got low rolling resistance and great traction on snow/ice
