Launch control helps. It wasn't run on this run. P100D was below 1.6 60' in later runs with launch control on.

I put 21x9 Axis MS from tire rack with 265x45 pirellis and am pretty happy with it, we also put on factory hubcaps and they match pretty well. The rear wheels could be stepped out another 5mm but i don't think it is bad now. Also the consumption may have gone down from ~375 to 350wh/m. too...

Road trip tomorrow... Will get some good p100d sc rates during the trip.

suspension is softer(than early p85d), gear noise is gone, motor whine is gone.

Then maybe it's just a buildup of iterative changes from the first p85d to this one

Maybe they made the rear motor more efficient to gain some RM? I have put 70,000 miles on a P85DL and 500 miles on a p100dl, the the p100d drivetrain feels and sounds completely different. This is pure speculation but maybe they have a next generation rear motor in this car. I only have about...

Nice. I'll have to get a can bus logger to see what's going on with mine. My rear motor has also started milling at 15-35mph. Maybe that has something to do with it.

both of ours started doing the same thing. Our the driver side is doing it more often than the passenger side. I talked to the SC and they said it's a firmware issue, and an update is coming....hopefully soon

All three of our teslas (2-p85d 1-x90d) started recently slowing down while in AP at the exact same spot on the sawgrass expressway southbound by the bbt stadium where the old toll booth was... They only do this when they are navigating to my house. Maybe it has something to do with predictive...

We have 2 p85d's, one is a December 2014 build and one is a May 2015 build. Both have been upgraded to ludicrous by the west palm beach service center. The December p85dl makes ~430kw and the May p85dl makes ~455kw. All number taken from powertools over many runs at all soc's over the past...

It made a rattling sound on compression, it was so faint that i would only hear it on bridges. Didn't notice it in the handling.

P85D 2014 with 49k miles. Only problem so far is a front passenger air strut replacement at 49k.

I'd love to let you drive ours but we only confirmed a few weeks ago after we got to sit in one. We also were on the edge, but sitting in one was good enough for us. I think we were at the service center the day after you laid rubber in the back of the parking lot. What airport do you fly...

My December 2014 P85D was updated to launch mode after I got it back from the LTE upgrade...

I own a P85D and have driven a 85 and P85 and an 85D extensively. I would without question rank the 85d over a p85 or 85 Of course I would rank the P85D over all others.

Do you mind letting me know what company did your garage door high lift conversion with shaft drive? I'm also in Davie and need it done to make more room for the Model X....

My non-launch mode p85d has always left 2 streaks of rubber dust on asphalt on launches. Both the (19") pilot sport as3 and the oem primacy's

Also don't back up all the way to the curb stops if you are going to open your trunk, or your will hit the tesla parking sign. I was 4-6" off the curb and my trunk missed the sign by 1".....

I charged up my P85D with their HPWC earlier this week - the owner says he signed a lease with tesla and they will be installing 4 superchargers in the spots closest to the road.
