Damage on my Model 3. What to do next?

Ouch, sorry. Assuming you'll have to pay some sort of deductible (and that your premiums will go up) you might be better off not going through insurance. That bumper can be repaired, and I would personally keep the splash shield as-is. This is coming from someone who foolishly went through...

Model 3 Highland (Canada) Waiting room

I went to two Tesla stores and looked at Model 3s. They all have the same dent on the left side of the front bumper. The advisor said he hadn't noticed it before. I'll bring the car to the service center on Friday, I have a bone to pick with them.

Model 3 Highland (Canada) Waiting room

Be super careful and attentive when picking up your car. My front bumper has an inwards dent right above the front left wheel well. The PPF shop noticed it. There comes another visit to the service center. Edit: Well the advisor said I should have reported it within 24 hours. I'll look for...

12V wire tap for radar detectors in Model 3 Highland

The cigarette lighter is ~16V, I confirmed this with a USB charger that has a voltage readout. This is odd because the user manual states it's a 12V outlet. Fortunately most lighter adapters are 12-24V compatible -- make sure yours is as well before plugging it in.

Is there really a best tint manufacture? Or...

That's even better, 80% TSER for 30%! Congrats! The price seems to be decent as well. Did you get the full rear glass done? I dropped mine off today (for tint and PPF), and even the drive to the tint shop was annoying because of the heat. It doesn't help that Toronto is extra warm nowadays...

Is there really a best tint manufacture? Or...

Specs. Wow, 75%-79% solar energy rejection for the 32% tint.

Is there really a best tint manufacture? Or...

My old Mazda had ceramic tint (Xpel XR) all around. My dad's car has dyed tint. The difference is night and day. Even according to the datasheets, dyed films reject ~35% of the solar energy whereas a quality ceramic tint will reject ~60%. My Model 3 isn't tinted yet (dropping it off tomorrow -...

    Dashcam cuts video short!

Thank you! I should have looked at the user manual before posting here, my bad. I would also expect the car to use all the available space for the dashcam, like a dashcam would. Anyway, maybe they'll fix it in a future update.

    Dashcam cuts video short!

I'm having a similar problem with my dashcam. I have mine set to save on honk, but it does it for clips that I manually save as well. I wanted to save the video of a driver indicating left and turning right. I saved the clip, and it seemed like a 10 minute snippet. The problem is that this...

Model 3 Window Tinting - Llumar or Xpel?

I had Xpel XR on my old car (non-Tesla) and I was quite happy with it. IIRC the XR had better heat rejection than the IRX. For my Model 3 I'm going to go for Autobahn i3 -- it seems to have better specs than the competition. It's just that I've never heard of this brand before and they host...

2024 Model 3 ambient light alignment

Here is how mine came from Giga Shanghai: I zoomed in to show it as clear as possible, but in daily use they look perfectly aligned.

This is the official retrofit of model 3 CCS been announced?

My 2024 Model 3 has CCS compatibility listed under Software, but Tesla website states I need to get something retrofitted. So I got one from Tesla Service today, and gave it a shot. I was able to get ~130kW from Electrify Canada. The initial handshake took much longer than it does at a...

    Your M3H 'Stalkless' Driving Experience....

I am completely okay with the indicators being on the steering wheel -- I might even go ahead and say I like it better than the good old indicator stalk. My commute doesn't involve any roundabouts/traffic circles though. Same thing for the high beams. It feels like a racing sim wheel (I don't...

Model 3 Highland (Canada) Waiting room

I picked mine up today! Model 3 Long Range, Blue exterior, White interior, 19" wheels. My appointment was at 3pm, I went there at 1pm because this was my first time picking up a Tesla and I didn't know what to expect. Also maybe there would be some missing documents that I would need to get...

Model 3 Highland (Canada) Waiting room

Hi, glad to see a specific thread for Canadian deliveries :) I made an order for a Blue/White M3LR on the 4th, there was one in transit and the rep at Tesla Etobicoke-Dundas assigned it to me. The estimated delivery date was May 25th. I was trying to see if everything was on track (and whether...
