Aaaand just like magic... VIN assigned... with Est. Delivery this week itself Mar 13th - 20th. I'm so thrilled I don't care about the white interior now!!!! :)

On Reddit there is a guy in Malaysia showing off his white int M3 refresh he just got.... like WTF!!!! (they get theirs from China) ... Import the damn material then if its so readily available all over the world except the US no????? there is no tax credit for US materials/parts anyways... if...

the good thing is whenever this production/supply/quality/whatever issue is solved the floodgates will open, and all the early OD white int folks will get deliveries... then I shall be licking my wounds!!!! :eek:

problem is right now there is no sign of white interiors.... they are pushing out the EDD as per OD it looks like, all white int early OD folks have already been pushed out, see google sheet... based on ur OD you will get pushed out later this week or next... sorry to be a bummer, but that's...

It didn't ask you to accept the Tesla Vision thingy??? maybe that's sometimes before VIN or sometimes after (before delivery date assignment)

nah!! the 4.5 yrs I've had the M3 I love "everything" about it to bits. Especially the music system (which is now upgraded). I'm a big metal fan and metal sounds freakin awesome in the M3, gonna be even better with 2 subwoofers!!! Can't wait......

EDD Updated today, got pushed out to Apr 4 - May 9. Seriously considering changing to black Interiors at this point...

Hmmm.... Giga casting slowing down M3 production in Fremont vs using old production line in Shanghai !!! seems weird... if anything giga casting should speed things up 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yep, all we white interior folks who already have a late March EDD, they will just leave us hanging till we come up on those dates, then they will push us out :-(

Finally an update once it hit March 1st (current EDD start date). As with all others of similar config, pushed out - Mar 29-31... a really tight 3 days!!!

Yeah many LR folks who ordered early on have March dates (various date ranges in March). I think March is going to be the comeback of the AWDs :)

My SA said not to apply till VIN is assigned

IT SEEMS ( in caps coz who knows!!! ) that Tesla uses the typical 2 week sprints as per agile product/project management principles, so when u get assigned a 4 week EDD its their first attempt at placing u in the queue based on ur configuration and whatever other factors, then based on their...

Yeah, have seen that happen to the SR folks, first a large one month-ish EDD, then a 2 week one and then it happens sometime in that 2 weeks (unless some unforeseen issue pushes things out)
