Update - now that I've had the Plaid for ~8 months, I'm actually more used to the yolk than round steering wheels. My wife has a MX P100D, when I drive it, the wheel feels foreign to me - even though I had exactly the same wheel on my last 3 MSs

Starting to have the same issue, car's at the SC right now replacing a tire. They said they'll replace the whole yolk, but they have to order one.

Just got the message from SA that our Model X P100D is finally ready for pickup. Dropped it off December 10, picking up February 16th, so a little more than two months.

We are on our 5th Tesla, and I agree the service is not great. It’s just not bad enough for me personally to jump ship. But I could see others waking away after one too many bad experiences.

Thanks for the help, I just tried tapping and tapping and holding. Both give the same result, which is to toggle sentry on and off, and dashcam saves the current footage when you tap it. In Safety there are some options for Sentry mode, and deleting dashcam files, but I didn't see anything...

Picked mine up a week ago, temps here in S. Florida have been in the high 70's to low 80's. I've used it 4 times, it has taken between 2-5 minutes to complete. Much different than my old P100D which was often 30-40 minutes.

Got the car back a week ago, turns out there was something in the electrical steering assist that was grounding out. Seems to be all good now. Just need to figure out how to easily use favorites in audio and get the top bar back when Nav is on the top in 8.0 now

Just talked to the service advisor...evidently there was a steering rack mechanical failure and they're ordering another from Freemont. Maybe in order to maximize the straight-line power it was trying to eliminate turning altogether :)

You will be able to offset some of the costs of getting out with the additional $7,500 tax credit. It makes the hit a little more palatable.

just a guess...but I think last update the HomeLink auto settings weren't saved after the update. Seems to be ok this time around. Wonder if that's what they fixed.

Not sure if this is new, but it mentioned something about improved regenerative breaking in cold temperatures. I did notice when I went through all of my settings Summon was still active (as it was before upgrade) but the Auto HomeLink feature for the garage door had been turned off, it was on...

Dropped it off in Dania last Saturday, but won't get it back until late this week, maybe Thursday. They said the engineer that was supposed to fly in last week wasn't able to make it, so they've been Skyping. Also said they were missing a part. Looking forward to getting the car back.

Think I found something. It says at each supercharger stop the iPhone app will let you know when you've charged enough to get to the next stop. If that was in 188, it wasn't working for me last week. Could be one of those things like the valet on/off which requires an update to the iPhone App.

Skimmed the release notes for .197, nothing popped out at me. With 188 could you drop a pin on the map? If not you can now. Drove home, it seemed a little peppier, but I bet that's in my head from having just gotten out of the service loaner, a P85.

Service advisor confirmed I have .197 now. Still waiting for the car to be brought around. I'll post again in an hour or so to let you know what I find.

They're changing out the seats today. A couple of hours ago my phone told me "New Update Available". Anyone else get this? Curious if it's actually something new, or just something they did at the service center that re-triggered the message.

Totally agree...I love the door handles, I'd prefer to have them even if I had to replace them twice a year. Would be a better design if they failed 'out' though, or if you could give them a hard push and they popped out.
