Hi Terry, that’s something at least! I haven’t gotten that SMS but maybe because my NL already paid it fully last year. I do hope that SMS means that the cars are already on the way to Adelaide.

Oh just great. That’s exactly the same EDD as us in Adelaide. We may expect ours to also move soon.

Yeah, I thought that the delays are beacuse the delivery centers in Melb are congested, not the ports so they should have trucked the Adelaide cars off ahead already, but that might not be the case.

I just got this response from Tesla: Hi, While it's in Australia, it's not yet in Adelaide. When it's available to collect you will receive an SMS to schedule a date and time to collect from our Adelaide Airport Delivery Centre. Thanks The Tesla Team

I got the Model Y is in Australia SMS on Jan 29, but I haven’t heard anything since then. I’ll try to sms them and ask if it has at least been trucked over to Adelaide, but I’m not expecting any helpful answers.

Nah, it just takes some time for them to update the Vic ports site. They may update it tonight or tomorrow.

Maybe you can have a close mate pick it up for you. I believe Tesla allows that as long as there’s a signed letter from you.

Some of the Sydneysiders whose cars are in MC are picking it up this week I think. It’s a wide range on the pickup dates. I am in Adelaide too, and still hoping for an earlier than expected delivery. 🤞🏻

According to Vic ports website they are due to depart on the night of Jan 27. Do they have operations on Saturdays?

Yeah, original departure date to Melbourne was supposed to be Sunday, 11pm. Glad to see they’re pushing the dates earlier. Hoping we get our cars earlier as well!

This is exactly my thought as well. If you’re gonna wrap it a different color anyway, just get the white one. I also like the white, so the wrap is optional for me.

There’s an update in the Qld ports site for the Morning Crystal. There’s a date set for it to go to Fisherman Island from Port Cartwright Anchorage.

Has anyone who has been reassigned a new VIN gotten their updated invoice? What’s the invoice date they put on there? Just thinking about the government rebates if we’re still eligible.

I think we have the same exact situation where our NL has already fully paid for the car. So if they changed it for me, they’ll surely do that for you as well. Maybe you can try refreshing again later today. I checked and seeing no update, I tried refreshing 5 mins later and it’s literally changed.

Update: i have finally been reassigned a new VIN literally just now and had my estimated delivery date moved by a week.

Mine hasn’t changed yet as well. Still Feb 20 to Mar 12. For Adelaide.

Nah, it just says Victoria. The previous email said Brisbane so I thought that meant something. But based on other posts above, it just seems they based it off where the people are located.

Yeah, but there’s a slight difference. They say they are waiting DAFF instructions before they can dock to Port of Victoria instead of Brisbane. I know it’s a small detail and unlikely to mean anything, but I’m clinging to every bit of hope at the moment.

I agree that Tesla may not be directly at fault. However, Tesla doesn't go scott free here. If the bugs came from their cars from the gigafactory in Shanghai, then that's their fault. If they signed a contract with the owners of GC to ferry their cars around, that means they selected the GC...

I’m with LeasePlan and I just send them the updated EDD and they update the start date of the NL to the last day of the EDD so I have not started paying for it yet as well.

It’s weird to do the inspection on the grain terminal, if there’s a place they want to put a biosecurity infected ship away from, surely it’s a terminal where grains pass through, right? 😅

Current EDD is Dec 18 to Jan 08. Original EDD was Nov 23 to Dec 14. I'm in Adelaide so we're probably the last ones to get deliveries.

Yeah, I think we're better off checking the QLD port website from time to time. As long as there's no departure date there, it's not going anywhere.

I guess it's only Tesla that gives the shipping information to its customers, so since you knew your car is there, they assumed you are a Tesla customer. :)
