My Friend has an Audi. To open the glove box, you need to push a button on the dash which then electronically opens it (it's not mechanical). The button stopped working, so he cannot open the glove box at all. My point is that its "over-engineered."

Man! I'm in Dallas too, and I'm still in the Queue. In fact, I can see the Tesla Farmers Branch Service Center from my office window. I bet I will get the same message, but we'll see. At least it seems they are doing everything possible to get you your tax credit.

Go with Next Gen. You don't want Tesla's Top-Of-The-Line car with regular seats. Plus, when you get the Next Gen seats installed, it will feel like you're upgrading your vehicle at a later date, and it gives you something else fun to look forward to.

I confirmed on October 27th. I'm still in the QUEUE with a promised delivery date of December 30th. Even if they start tomorrow, that's just 13 days to produce, inspect, ship and deliver a car to Dallas. Is that possible?

I feel your pain. I'm still in the torturous queue. Every time I email my DS, he says I should start production in the "next few days." I usually have no problem with patience, but the $7,500 tax credit for this year would be nice.

I feel your pain. I made sure Tesla was fully paid well over a week ago, and I'm still in the Production Queue! Paying them early does not seem to accelerate production (as I think we all knew).

It's hard to imagine Tesla delivering lots of black interior P85D's without the seats consumers paid for. How bad would that look? This IS my first Tesla order, so you experienced ones can tell us if this sounds normal.

It's no surprise to me. I'm fully ready to register in Texas and pay the annoying sales tax. I just didn't realize it FIRST had to be registered in California in order to get around Texas's restrictive law. But now I understand why.

TomL, I understand your predicament. It would be nice to know your financing option before ordering the car! The production period makes that difficult. I don't think you'll be able to predict the loan amount you'll be offered from EFCU. From reading this forum, it seems to vary quite a bit...
