If you were deciding between black and blue, you will absolutely love the blue, trust me! You sort of get the best of both.

Yesterday I got a call from the delivery driver telling me he was 3 minutes from my place. I was expecting the car later in the week! So I said "Let's Do It" and it was dropped off at my house on a Sunday afternoon. No special delivery experience for me, but the car makes up for it. It is...

Do you mind posting a picture of your yacht floor? I really liked the yacht floor but didn't want to pay for premium interior just for that.

Ra-san, Your car looks awesome. I love how the metallic blue is a deeper blue that looks dark inside and lighter outside (I drove a blue one on my test drive). It's a work of art on wheels. Congrats!

Went to the Dallas SC last week and it was full of P85D's that were just delivered. I'm happy to see more EV's in my historically oil-oriented city! For me, MyTesla dashboard just updated to "Your Model S is being prepared for pickup or delivery." I can't wait! Thank you to all who have put...

My Friend has an Audi. To open the glove box, you need to push a button on the dash which then electronically opens it (it's not mechanical). The button stopped working, so he cannot open the glove box at all. My point is that its "over-engineered."

From my DS: Based on your Model S current production notes, it looks like your Model S will not complete production until the last few days of December. That being said, we do have a way for you to still qualify for claiming the Tax Credit on your 2014 Taxes. In years past, we found that...

Man! I'm in Dallas too, and I'm still in the Queue. In fact, I can see the Tesla Farmers Branch Service Center from my office window. I bet I will get the same message, but we'll see. At least it seems they are doing everything possible to get you your tax credit.

Go with Next Gen. You don't want Tesla's Top-Of-The-Line car with regular seats. Plus, when you get the Next Gen seats installed, it will feel like you're upgrading your vehicle at a later date, and it gives you something else fun to look forward to.

It's concerning if they knew about it and did not say anything like, "Hey, there is an insignificant chip in the wheel, we'll be in contact to replace it shortly." That green tape is pretty clear that they had notice. If that wheel ever cracked and caused an accident, Tesla would obviously...

I confirmed on October 27th. I'm still in the QUEUE with a promised delivery date of December 30th. Even if they start tomorrow, that's just 13 days to produce, inspect, ship and deliver a car to Dallas. Is that possible?

I feel your pain. I'm still in the torturous queue. Every time I email my DS, he says I should start production in the "next few days." I usually have no problem with patience, but the $7,500 tax credit for this year would be nice.

I feel your pain. I made sure Tesla was fully paid well over a week ago, and I'm still in the Production Queue! Paying them early does not seem to accelerate production (as I think we all knew).

It's hard to imagine Tesla delivering lots of black interior P85D's without the seats consumers paid for. How bad would that look? This IS my first Tesla order, so you experienced ones can tell us if this sounds normal.

It's no surprise to me. I'm fully ready to register in Texas and pay the annoying sales tax. I just didn't realize it FIRST had to be registered in California in order to get around Texas's restrictive law. But now I understand why.

My EFCU experience may help you guys. I have very good credit, but have never had a car loan over $45K. I called Mary Johnson at EFCU and introduced myself. She took my application. I asked for 100% financing on my vehicle. She sent it to underwriting and came back with a "counter" of 65%...

This does indeed make waiting more difficult. The insane acceleration description great, but it should be a warning: Do not let anyone else drive your P85D. I will not be letting my friends drive it (like I have with previous cars), and I will be scared to let my wife drive it. If my kids...

    Financing - timing

TomL, I understand your predicament. It would be nice to know your financing option before ordering the car! The production period makes that difficult. I don't think you'll be able to predict the loan amount you'll be offered from EFCU. From reading this forum, it seems to vary quite a bit...

Their failure to factor in income is annoying. I also have high income, and I believe that should satisfy them if I don't have large car loan history. I'll check out Alliant if EFCU does not come through. Also, how do you guys get the footer (with your vehicle information) to show up on...

FYI This is my first post on TMC! Today I called EFCU and spoke with Mary Johnson. She was very friendly and said she was financing lots of Tesla's right now. She directed me to send in the EFCU Application, $10, the CCACC Application, and My DL. When I started to ask her about rates, she...
