General question, how long does it take for the Make Final Payment button to light up? It’s Tuesday and my delivery is Saturday. I still am unable to make a payment.

I had made a Plaid payment of $21K, was planning to pay the rest with a check from Navy Fed. Apparently they’ve transferred the 21K from my old order to my new order. Waiting for my new orders balance to reflect it. Pick up is Saturday so I’m nervous.

I had to create a new order because of inventory sale + I had already swapped VINs when going from RWD to AWD. Still waiting for funds today.

I officially switched from RWD Y to LR AWD. The VIN I received was for 2023. Car will be here next Wednesday and I'll likely schedule pick up that weekend. As much as I wanted to save the money the real world range + cold temperatures would put us in a place I'm not comfortable with.

What was it before?

Aside from one person in this thread taking delivery, has anyone else scheduled their pick up date?

Just want to congrats you on being the first to take delivery. Honestly gave me hope these cars are actually going to be delivered to us. Did you spot any more RWD at the dealership? Also can you share when you ordered and what your build was?

I work from home and would only need this second car to drop my kid off to school. I can't justify the LR unless it's the end of December and I can't find a RWD.

I spoke with someone on the phone today and asked them about an In Transit RWD Model Y. Asked them when it would arrive so I could go in and buy it. They told me that particular car doesn't even have a VIN and might not even be built. So much for "in transit".

I know someone picking up theirs today so hopefully they can confirm.

Someone on the Model Y subreddit just posted that they have delivery for Saturday and the SA called to let him know, also mentioning that the car has LFP.

Do you have a VIN? I believe all RWD MY are built in Fremont.

The fact that I've only heard of people with inventory discounts having this issue makes me think we got the discount by accident and this is Tesla trying to undue it. The SA I worked with gave me a "well try and carry the discount over to your new VIN" to which I replied I'm not leaving until...

Its just referred to as the check digit but it was the only digit that was different from my first VIN to my new VIN. I know of one other person who bought a RWD with inventory discount that got canceled that day too. I'm just worried they will try to pull it again.

Has anyone taken delivery of a US RWD here? I know some people who have pick up this week.

I placed my RWD order on 11/3 and got a VIN yesterday that is 2023.

RWDs have started being delivered this week in the US so hopefully you can get yours before Jan 1.

I had the same exact experience today. I bought on 11/3 on an inventory discount for $43,350 instead of $43,990. Randomly got my order canceled and VIN + date disappeared. Couple people on Reddit who live in NJ are taking delivery this Friday. As far as I know they are the first ones I've seen taking RWD delivery.
