Model 3 Key Fob is here: $150

Page 200 of the Owner's Manual available here gives the FCC ID of the keyfob, 2AEIM-1048598, and lists 2.4GHz as the only frequency. If you look at the FCC application you can again see the keyfob only has 2.4GHz capabilities for Bluetooth.

Will we have to leave Bluetooth on all the time on our phones?

For anyone interested, the short-term confidentiality on Tesla's "B-pillar Endpoint" expired recently, so photos of the unit and an excerpt from the manual is now available from the FCC. OET List Exhibits Report It has a TI CC2640R2F which is a Bluetooth 5 capable chip. CC2640R2F SimpleLink™...

Flat Fold second row now available.

Interestingly, if you change the 1440 in the URL from the image in the "Interior Layout" section to 2880, you get a different image with a different design for the board and no rear vents.

Which data plan for your SIM card?

Not an owner, but I think I can answer some of these questions. Updates can and do roll out over 3G and vary in size. I think I remember reading that v7.0 was almost a gigabyte, but don't quote me on that. I'm quite sure that the SIM card can be changed with some difficulty. It's somewhere in...

Does anyone recognise this headlight plug?

I stand corrected. Sorry for the misinformation. Tesla definitely designed it weirdly with the bulb+ballast combo and the weird 3 pin connector.

Does anyone recognise this headlight plug?

The bulbs in an Australian Model S should be the same as in a US model. The ballast is what is limiting the output. I don't know how easy the ballasts are to access in the Model S are, but those are what need to be changed to get a significant improvement out of the HIDs.

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

I believe the bladder in the passenger seat is for determining the weight of the passenger and adjusting airbag force. The driver's seat only has a simple on/off switch to determine occupancy.

Key Fob Design for Model X

I think Tesla has switched to using Bluetooth Smart for the keyless unlocking and start system. On page 173 of the manual Blurry_Eyed uploaded, it states that Tesla is manufacturing the key fob and it operates at 2.4GHz, the frequency used for Bluetooth among other things. On the corresponding...

Has anyone tested Falcon Wing Door stopping sensitivity?

If you press and hold the inside button, the one on the side of the door or hold the top button on the fob while pressing a door button it will force close. Or at least that's what I think I read in the manual.

    Headlights on model S upgrade

I think I remember reading that Tesla reduced the headlight output for Australia and some other markets. Model X NHTSA VIN Filings

I just found the documentation Tesla submitted to the NHTSA for VIN deciphering. This one says Model X at the bottom, but seems to be referring to Model S information. On the other hand, this one seems to have some info on the Model X.

    Tracking P85D delivery thread

It's a shot of a worker assembling the drive unit, once they've put all the bolts in, they use a marker to draw a line over the bolts and onto the motor assembly. It seems like it could be a sort of tamper seal. Although, I don't know if the same applies to the wheels.
