This location is down temporarily as they upgrade the transformers, says Tesla Technical Support. Wife went there to charge today and they had it taped off, support says it should be back online tomorrow or Thursday. I asked if this was to support a faster charging rate, and support was unsure.

A step toward it being more official! The GR supercharger is now showing up as such on the nav list of chargers under places.

Ironically I saw that article earlier today, too. The Tesla tech that was on site when I stopped by earlier couldn't even give me a date that they were "announcing" that the supercharger was live. Probably getting all their PR ducks in a row.

If for whatever reason you find it not working tomorrow (because they haven't officially announced it as online yet) you are more than welcome to charge at my home on my HPWC. I live in Ada. Safe travels!

Charger is live! Didn't really need a charge but felt obligated!

Charger still isn't live as of 8:30am, stopped by again at 10 and didn't try to charge again but did see they are re-doing the asphalt there so it will need to be striped again shortly thereafter.

I would not make the trip to TC with just this SC in GR. There is a destination charger at the Grand Traverse Resort and Hotel, I believe... If you can hit that then yes by all means complete that trip!

I do not believe they are liquid cooled for a couple reasons. One the cables look just as thick as normal and two there isn't the "radiator vent" at the bottom of the charging cabinet for each stall. Just saw that in the video detailing the new liquid cooled SC out in CA.

I wonder how invasive the solution to this will be...

Let me know if you need two new rear wheels. I had this happen to me and bought replacements and got the wheels fixed. What I'm selling are the wheels I got fixed. One was bent and has been repaired and one had curb rash and has been repaired. Good as new. 21" wheels for the P85+

Keep in mind a full ppf as I have done on my model s will also keep and swirl marks from ever showing up in your paint. My guys did everything but the trunk lid and unfortunately it's the only place on my MS you can see swirl marks.
