I'm genuinely wondering and don't know the answer because I've not tried yet (but could if needs be), so please no hate, but maybe the V4 cable length being a bit longer means Teslas can park wrong way in, and still charge, like a car with a front-right corner charge port reversed in; then there...

My partner works at Chieveley and thinks no room for or plans for Tesla charging going in. Just the Gridserve ones going in now. Given going West you've got, Membury West and Reading West (either side of Chieveley), and for East, Membury East, and a couple of fairly convenient sites in Reading...

Also passed by the Fraddon site today. No more progress. Still wrapped up cabinets and posts in waiting to be switched on, nothing else going on, sadly. Would be nice for this to take over from Lifton temporarily but it's not looking likely so we're maybe a bit short in the far south west.

Stopped at Lifton today and the site is down with National Grid installing a massive transformer. Didn't look like a single day job. Couldn't see any sign of any V4 posts on site yet.

When did you speak to the owner? There was a road closure there and power works running down the car park from the road a couple of months ago for quite a few weeks. Hopefully the pre-work has already been done. EDIT: Never mind - I just checked the link - May. That fits in with the...

That's a good spot! The new Fraddon site down the road has I think from memory only 2 or 3 cabinets but 8 SCs, so that backs up Lifton getting a complete upgrade. Hopefully in stages though as only 4 new ones available whilst the V2s get replaced will be a bit tight - especially with V4 being...

Looks like Reading West is up and running as of today.

Completely agree with you, it would work best to stick with the current norm but we know that people will just pull up and grab the charger closest to their charge port location so at least as Sean showed above, (thanks Sean V helpful to know,) given a bit of space behind the charger we can just...

Good to know, thanks - very helpful pictures in your Tottenham post. That in turn means that we Tesla drivers can nose-in and charge if the person next to us is using the side we'd usually need.

Good stuff and no wasted trip as I'm based in Cornwall. The V4s at Fraddon are now in place, although aligned like V3s, whereas I thought the idea was to go perpendicularly to allow more flexibility to non-Teslas with either-side charging, but anyway. (Pic from a couple of days ago, before the...

This is the latest post I've found. I'm a brand new member but need to point out that the Truro location doesn't exist. It's actually the Exeter new Tesla Dealership location, which is also opposite another Vosper's Fiat Dealership. Not sure who can amend the record, but if they could check...
