Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Regeneration seems fine. Charged at 32 yesterday and stayed that way for the entire time. Still need to check the wiring and lugs

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Thanks Jared, I’ll check that as well!

    Amazing - That's a lot of panels

Actually this was one of the first questions that I asked. We "pre-cool" our trailers and set the freezer sections as well, for food safety. So they will pre-cool the trailer while charging and then move it to the dock for loading. The battery on the trailer is actually relatively small since...

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Will do thanks! gives me a good reason to break out my torque wrenches which I haven't had to do in a while lol

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Good point, will do. I never really vent or leave the garage partly open like some do around here at night mostly because of critters

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

It won't let me change once charging at 24amp. Although I guess if I start the charge over again it starts at 48 and then I could manually lower it

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Yeah you are probably right. Of course if I vent my garage right now I'd just be taking in 112 degree air lol! Strange though that this never happened (to my knowledge) last year.

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Hmm good call, I just downloaded both troubleshooting tips and the manual. I can't tell if this would count as 3 blinking red's or 1 blinking red lol. Seems to blink once and then do the green stream down. 3 blinking is heat related, says that it usually would be with ambient temps over 122...

    Amazing - That's a lot of panels

yeah it's pretty cool, I couldn't find a photo of the current roof, I have one in the office, but here is a pic of the charging area and a press link to the project itself. Our warehouse is a total of around 500,000 sqft. I was pretty wowed at the cloud based app for monitoring everything. I...

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Update, I just went to look at the car and charger since it's currently charging at 24amps. The app still looks normal with no error reports, same as the car display. However I did notice that the charger starts off with a red LED before turning green and going through the visual green line of...

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

That would be great thank you! My Tesla charger was installed by an electrician and I haven't had any challenges until now. To be fair though, all last summer we would have similar heat and I don't believe I had any challenges. Then again most of my charging is in the middle of the night, and...

You all have about talked me out of a Tesla altogether...

This will probably be the most Junior of the responses out there, but, I just recently discovered this forum group and so far everyone has been incredibly helpful. I've owned my Model 3 LR for about 16 months and have put almost 37,000 miles on it so far. I've enjoyed plugging it in at night...

Can changing amperage while charging simply be heat related?

Hi folks, Recently (within the last few days), my charging, using a Tesla Wall charger, dedicated 60am circuit wired directly through the wall will start at 48amps but will later drop to 24amps. Sometimes it does this within a half hour, sometimes a few hours in. I charge every night and...

NEM 1.0, Power Wall and SCE is it worth it?

Yup I would tend to agree. Need to see if there are any prepayment penalties as well should I go that route. Of course, if SCE is going to increase rates by a factor of… then my annual bills will continue to climb. But I’ve got a completely decent system as is regardless of not meeting my...

    Amazing - That's a lot of panels

Where I work one side of the warehouse has about 4500 panels, and we're in the midst of a 5000 panel install on the other side. The new side I'm told is a 1 megawatt? We will have a couple of containers adjacent for surplus storage and the entire new system is designed to charge our new fleet...

NEM 1.0, Power Wall and SCE is it worth it?

Well, update time... Spent some time with a sales consultant from Renova, I had also sent him a copy of my annual reconciliation bill. As suggested by your posts previously he essentially confirmed that I'm using more than I'm producing and as a result the power walls would probably not even...

NEM 1.0, Power Wall and SCE is it worth it?

Some pretty invaluable info here thanks again (and as always)! Interesting that we're not that far away from eachother and seem to be in similar circumstances. In the 8 years I've lived in Palm Desert, I've been fortunate in only having one or two rolling black outs and I can't remember any of...

NEM 1.0, Power Wall and SCE is it worth it?

Once again thank you! This is the in depth explanation that I think I needed. I checked on my wife’s Tesla app and it seems like her login as owner had the charging statistics for the car. I muddled around with the usage charges based on home charging and a blended rate of roughly .30/kWh...

NEM 1.0, Power Wall and SCE is it worth it?

Thank you! I don't believe that I'm on a time of use plan, at least I don't see anything in my billing that seems to indicate it other than at times breeching into Tier 2 pricing I imagine I'm just incredibly surprised at the increase in my bill from year 2 to year 3. I understand that SCE...

NEM 1.0, Power Wall and SCE is it worth it?

Hi all, First post, I've tried some searching and it doesn't appear that this has been asked to the extent I'm searching for so here we go... I purchased my home with solar 3 years ago. We live in the Southern California Desert, where temps will easily be 110+ for extended periods of time...
