What are your calculations on $120k? That's closer to the cost of an optioned P85D out the door. Mine is almost 130k. Now the ICE is $57k using your 44% calculation. Staggered tires aren't an issue on the other AWD models, maybe a better way to go if cost and tire wear is an issue.

Yeah, watched a clip about a super car and evidently it's in the plans. Saw an interview with Elon where he eluded to getting into racing once supply begins to match demand. If they could do a quick battery swap they would offer up stiff competition. Love to see a Tesla flying around Sebring.

You're missing that the cost of the + is not there for the P85, so its price has theoretically "dropped" (since the plus isn't an available option) as they are comparing the P85 to the P85D rather than your comparison of the old P85+ to the P85D.

I appreciate your optimism and like where your head's at, but I will take that bet. While I agree that there will be demand for P85+ CPO, especially for those who want it now, I would estimate they'll sell at a hefty discount, depending on typical used car details.

I understand the features of the + are in the P85D, but they did drop the +, not available for the P85. You won't be seeing a + on any new vehicles, hence dropped.

I was surprised to see they dropped the + from the options line up. Still excited to get the P85D and blast by every sports car on the road, no matter what they are calling it.

It's not the same engine, there will be two, one driving the rear wheels and another driving the front, big difference than a 911S and 4S

Sub 4 seconds would be sick. I can see 1/2 second improvement and would gladly pay a premium for it. Be interesting to see what happens. There is all this talk about demand from cold weather areas but I'm sure Tesla is expecting demand from more than just areas that get snow.

Any predictions or insight about the implications to performance with an all wheel drive P85+? Optimistic that performance will improve.

I have a carbon fiber hood and roof on my truck and was thinking of at least doing the roof and rear view mirrors when mine arrives (also blue). Anyone done that? Curious to see how the blue with carbon fiber hood wrap looks.
