I was driving to Surrey from Richmond today and was going in parallel with a truck full of Teslas! All the cars have their front windows fully opened. May be that would explain some of the stuff we see when we got the cars

I haven’t seen any problems so far (finger crossed) and the gaps and alignments look good. I didn’t check for HW3 or 4 specifically but I am fairly sure it is HW3. Otherwise we will hear about it from Reddit :)

Yeah I am half waiting for a call that tell me they don’t have mine eventually 😅 I feel sorry for them though as I can imagine they will be getting angry responses from customers and they don’t really have much control over this

I am at Richmond Tesla. If you guys can give me the VIN number may be I can ask them. I just asked them about mine and he said it is “confirmed” and I should come tomorrow 🤷‍♂️

I am supposed to be picking up the car on Sat morning from Richmond too. I didn’t get any phone calls however. Does the schedule time in the app changed for you?

More likely would be the next ship (MM or next one). MM was supposed to land yesterday or the last few days according to the original schedule.

It may be that there are two groups that have the same EDD date. One group ordered in May to early June where the cars were already assigned (hidden) before the vehicles went onto the ship. This seem to be the group that got the schedule delivery date in the last few days. Then another group...

May be they are matching you to a car that was going into the inventory (I.e. from the Viking sea or earlier shipment)

If you car were on the next ship I doubt they could schedule you for July 27 pick up… May be they just meant the car is in transit (from the port parking lot) to Vancouver?

I imagined it would be longer than that even. I thought / hoped the delivery center would inspect the vehicles and there are probably some paper works here and there. With many vehicles coming in all at once it would take a few days to sort thru (note: pure speculation here)

the parking lot layout of the Richmond Tesla is quite open and you can more or less see it when you drive by. I don’t think they have any new cars on the lot, including the extra parking lot next to building

I am not sure when I will pass by Richmond Tesla or Fraser Wharves again. I can drop an update here when I do and if there still aren’t clear info on whether scheduled delivery have started

I passed by fisherman wharves and indeed saw a lot of Teslas sitting at the lot. No one seem to be working on them though

Thanks to all the folks and the various follow ups and updates in this forum I actually think it is more exciting to wait for the cars to come than having the car itself 🤣

Someone on Reddit said there is a bylaw preventing any referral programs of car sales in BC. Apparently it was pushed by car dealers to hold back advance from companies like Tesla (note: just repeat what I saw and have not done my own research)

The existing inventory prices are adjusted such that MSM are now cheaper than the White ones, and they still have some extra discounts (~$600) on top. Interestingly, all the AWD versions are gone (or disappear from the website). The only ones remaining are the Performance or RWD versions.

Tesla announced a fairly significant model y price drop in Australia today. Hopefully we can see more discounts in Canada too (particularly now that they are importing cars made in China)

yeah I tend to agree with you. I will just have to suck up the extra cost :) I am convincing myself that the 110v adapter could be useful in the future anyway

ah shoot. I just realize the vehicle doesn’t come with the mobile connector (charging using 110v wall outlet) anymore! I haven’t got my Wall Charger installed yet since I wanted to know the vehicle would actually come first (so many hiccups along the way). The damn mobile connector is >$300!

I am in a similar situation where I haven’t received any purchase agreement but I do see the hidden VIN. I have the order agreement which is available from when I ordered, and it doesn’t have the VIN. I haven’t made any payment though even though I also see the “pay before delivery message”

Actually I am in a similar situation where I need to install the Tesla wall charger (which is already shipped to me), but I don’t really want to do it unless I know for sure I am going to get assign a vehicle (have been waiting since early May!). A bit of a chicken and egg..

There is a post this morning in the Facebook group (model y for Canadian group) that talked about the next shipment from China (on a boat called Morning Cecillie). The post has a link to a shipment tracker of Tesla carriers. Very interesting info! My EDD date just changed to July 1 - July 29...

Thanks for the update. Mine is still stuck at July 10 - Aug 14 and there has been no update since late May (before they cancelled our orders!). I haven’t been able to find any info on when the next shipment from China might arrive 😭

I just walked into Richmond Tesla and they helped me changed to the China MYLR MSM/ black / 19”. The agent told me the wait time is 4 - 6 weeks (finger crossed) PS: the agent that helped me was super nice and greatly appreciated. I am sure she had to deal with many of the same requests today!

Yes I am in the same situation. The system doesn’t allow me to “update” the design. Also my trade in offer also expired at the same time 😭

$4K on accessories and charger installation ?! I chose MSM too and felt that is delaying our orders. It seems like there is more black or white units than MSM/blue/red Since you chose white I doubt they would just force a different configuration on you…

I ordered a MYLR (grey, black leather) in May and the EDD is July -Aug. Now that Tesla has reduced the range of the LR trim, would I still be getting one with the range stated at the time of my order?
