Disable iPhone audio from switching to car

Hey all, is there a way to keep using BT for car access but prevent iPhone audio from switching to the car? It's really annoying when dictating a message.

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I just mounted 18" M3 wheels with 245/60/18 Pirelli Scorpions. Tire noise is so much quieter I was shocked when I drove away from the shop, but I bought the car used and the OEM 20" tires were almost spent. The ride is also so much softer that I don't even think about bumps, joints, and shallow...

Vendor S3XY Buttons - Regenerative braking

@dimitar.ns would it be possible for your software to automatically turn off the headlights when the car is parked? it's super annoying getting blinded in my garage while collecting all my stuff and tidying up.

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Update: I woke up today to a $828 estimate to replace the rear tires as one of the techs "said they may be causing the noise". Clearly they didn't ask the shop manager. I replied that I'm not paying for tires and if they have to check a box I will drop off a spare set which they agreed to. I was...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Sorry, forgot to take a pic :( It was obvious the left side of the hatch was misaligned but not the gap between the hatch and glass roof pane, which to me seemed on par with the other gaps on this car, maybe 10cm or so. One of the techs also said the bottom of the hatch sticks out too far and...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I just got back from the service center in Arlington, VA. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager immediately acknowledged the booming noise and asked me if it sounds like a helicopter and if it's causing ear pressure. He also said "I can already see by looking at the roof gap your hatch...

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

They are pretty much the same, 1/8" thick and ~1 lb per sqft. You will have to cut it to shape since it only folds in one direction, and overlap the different pieces to have one continuous layer. You could even do a flat layer in the trunk without molding it to the lower compartment, and then...

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/scoob%E2%80%99s-sound-proofing-before-after-experiment.182362/ This thread is shows an MLV install, although they did a ton of work and forgot to put foam underneath to decouple it properly and probably left some noise reduction on the table.

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

No worries. MLV is mass loaded vinyl, a very dense material that weighs 1lb per sq ft. Its density blocks sound waves instead of absorbing them. The best practice is to have a continuous, decoupled layer, eg the entire floor of the vehicle. But the trunk area of these cars is so loud and the...

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

Have you considered a layer of MLV on top of that mat? You're halfway to a great result with this decoupling layer and MLV is cheap.

Can you share a link to the parcel shelf? I can only see one on Amazon and the images are pretty grainy.

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I'll try that tomorrow, nothing to lose at this point. Something is really weird with my hatch, in order for the left stop to pass the paper test I have to pull it out so far the fit is at least 1/4" misaligned. And even then there is a ton of play in it.

Scoob’s sound proofing before & after experiment...

I'm really impressed with the MLV job on the floor, I wish I could hire someone this good on the east coast. If you're still contact with the technician do you mind asking him if he knows anyone? Thanks.

    MYLR7 Sound Deadening

Given how flat the underbody is, I wonder if it would practical or valuable to cover it in a layer of MLV, with a foam layer in between to decouple from the metal. I'd be willing to try it if there were no warranty concerns but I doubt that would be the case.

Vendor S3XY Buttons - Regenerative braking

I ended up buying a Model Y and I like the regen a lot more than I thought I would. I do find it a bit too aggressive when fully releasing the accelerator, has anyone tried the 75% setting? That might be the sweet spot for me.

Just ordered the Tesla Rear Liftgate Sunshade and the Tesla Glass Roof Sunshade

Is there a sturdy roof shade with a spine that would hold a layer of thinsulate without bowing? I'd like to try that.

How much of a gap is there between the plastic well cover and the body? I'm thinking on covering the inside of the plastic with Resonix barrier sheets.

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I added 1/4" tubing to my new (to me) 2022 MY and the crazy noise is has decreased by ~80%. I still consider the remaining 20% unacceptable and I'm taking the car to service this Friday to see what they can do. I'll try the rigid stops if Tesla can't fix it. Has anyone added the OEM cargo...

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

I bought a 2022 Model Y, scored gen2 18" aeros, and now I'm choosing tires. Looks like all-season 245/60/18 tires are all SL, would 235/60 be too skinny on 8.5" wide wheels? I'd like to reduce road noise over the OEM 20s, how much louder would 255/55 be over 235/60? I will also get the Eibach...

Vendor S3XY Buttons - Regenerative braking

Looking to buy a Model 3 (coming from RAV4 Prime) and worried about the lack of regen settings. I like being able to coast and regen with the brake pedal, if I use this software to disable regen, will applying the brake pedal use friction only? Thanks.
