    Noisy Windshield Wipers

:) Mine (2014 model) is very noisy (rubber jumping on glass) and smears water back and forth. Wiping is not really happening. I didn't change or condition the stock windshield at all, but I keep it fairly clean.

    Its official !

+ driver here and I can confirm the + is the sportiest of Teslas available. Driving it (air suspension and 21" wheels) on a mountain pass is incredible.

    Noisy Windshield Wipers

If its the blades then yes. Worst wipers I have seen in any car ever. If its the wiper motors/mechanics then no. That would need fixing.

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

I think it happens too consistently to too many users to be bad chargers/cables. I even tried with a different charger and have the same result.

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

Thanks for the great explanation and sorry for not thinking about looking it up in the firmware thread, stupid me. ;) This really helps put my mind at ease!

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

Hi all Right after the update to 6.2 (v2.5.21) late week, my Model S has started to throw a "charging interrupted" message each time it starts delayed charging, then immediately resumes and finishes without an issue. I tried rebooting the car, resetting the delayed charging and power cycled the...

    Frunk Dent Prevention Strategy

Sorry to hear about your new car with a crease. Absolutely report it and have them fix it! I, like others I have heard from, ended up not using the frunk, which is sad in a way...

    6.1

6.1 is currently being rolled out over the air in various countries. I am in Europe and got it yesterday night. And I heard from lots of other Tesla users that they got it as well. It's however being rolled out in stages, so it may take days / weeks for the update to reach users.

    Frunk Dent (Frustrating...)

That's exactly how the Swiss SC taught me. All other ways, they said, are bad. I *love* the term "frunk anxiety" :)

    Frunk Dent (Frustrating...)

And now there is the new Tesla P85D delivery walkthrough video on YouTube, published this December and they instruct the new owner to close the Frunk - once again - the old, wrong way... This topic is a nightmare. Tesla Model S P85D delivery walkthrough - part 1 - YouTube

    Frunk Dent (Frustrating...)

Love the drawing above, but I have to agree with AmpedR. Very few frunks ever get slammed shut and quite a number experience the issue. I for one decided to use the frunk as little as possible and not examine it too closely for the dreaded crease.

    Frunk Dent (Frustrating...)

And take into account that different SCs give different instructions on delivery. Mine explicitly instructed me to only press on the very edges by the headlights and to ignore everything else written or shown in videos by Tesla.

    HPWC vs spare mobile connector?

I decided to buy a sturdy, mobile charger that can go up to 32amps, 400v. It's larger than the UMC (about 4 times the size, weight) and it has a very solid build, stays completely cold to the touch even when charging at 16amps, 400v (the max my home can do). I am using it as my fixed home...

    Frunk Dent (Frustrating...)

Such a crazy thing. I have a September 2014 build as well and it takes quite some force to close the frunk. I was told by the SC to only press on the edges of the frunk where it meets the headlight assemblies. No crease so far, but lost at least a year of my life out of fear of damaging it while...

    Air Suspension Woes

Same here too! When I go over a bump very slowly with the steering hard to the left, I have a "clunk" from the front right. I am keeping an eye on it as well...

Where has the Lacewood gone TM?

I do love the lacewood too. It's really different from all the wood trims seen in all other cars and I am also happy I was able to get the Aero rims for my winter tires. They make the black Model S look like a batmobile. Sorry, THE batmobile.

    The P85 is now obsolete.

To me: different glass, full to the brim.

    Air Suspension Woes

Thanks for the reply! And ouch to the creaks, snaps and groans! ;) I only get these hissing sound from time to time, but they don't sound alarming. Sorry for hijacking the thread!

    Air Suspension Woes

Ouch! I hope you'll get a good and reliably working air suspension after this hiccup, TDial! One thing I have been wondering: I have a few spots on my map where I set the air suspension to "Very high" - my driveway at home which is rather steep, the garage at my office which has brutal ramps and...

12v Battery Died Before Main Battery??

This is still one of the things that I find the strangest about Model S. You haul this huge battery that you keep in ship shape and charge everyday and it all still depends on a "black box" 12V battery that can die on you unexpectedly, especially if you don't use the car everyday... A constant...

    Color choice

Nice one! I also like: "Tesla sells their Model S in 50 shades of black - and red." We chose black even though my wife opted for red first. We are very happy with the choice but when we see a red drive by, it does make us turn our heads. And that's my main point: in black, this car is very...

Chevy has a new ad that is aimed at Tesla (indirectly)....

I don't really see the link to Tesla here eiter. All the ad tells me that your Chevy with the ugly interior (as @Lerxt states quite precisely) acts as a 4G to WiFi hotspot for the iPad that you bring along... I would wonder if they offer free 4G access as well or if you have to provide your own...

Who has gone into production since the line resumed?

FYI: My order (VIN 46461) was "The Tesla Factory is building your Model S" from 8/11 through 8/15. I truly hope, I am not a beta-tester for the new production line! ;)

    Wouldn't it be a cool feature..if

Very interesting points! I for one do like the mentioned, "hidden" storage area in the car to transport a 32amp charger and cable/plug-adapter set so I can hook up to various power outlets in areas where there are no superchargers. I think, this is favorable to adding a bit of range with an...

    Aftermarket paint armor recommendations: Switzerland

Thanks for the update, JPP! After doing some searching OptiCoat seems to be used/recommended by many. I have now found a local shop that has successfully treated 15 Model S so far and offered me a mix of Teflon based armor with added liquid glass coating in the most sensitive/exposed parts (the...

    Aftermarket paint armor recommendations: Switzerland

Hi! Let me start by apologizing if I managed to put this post in the completely wrong spot. I am to get a black Model S delivered in the (near) future and am thinking of getting an aftermarket paint armor applied. I have had black cars forever but feel that the more recent ones I owned showed...

    Educating other Model S owners

It's great to hear that Tesla owners are helping "newbies" or less educated owners get the most out of their electric wonder. I for myself am waiting for delivery, reading everything I possibly can about the car and its technology but without actually having the car to try it all out yet, I am...
