At worst it needs a battery which is $10k on ebay. Sure new at tesla it will be 20k+ installed. That's why I am posting on the forums for someone that is saavy and can fix it without forking 30k to the service center.... IF it needs a battery.

I haven't done any troubleshooting. Only thing I did was make a request for Tesla Mobile service to get a key made. The tech came and he was not able to make a key because the service alarms that were active. Essentially if there are active alarms that prevent the car from going into "drive"...

Tesla will give make a key for it but the car has to go to their service center. Title is in hand and has a Salvage brand.

Up for sale is my 2021 Model S Plaid. I bought it from auction as a salvage flood. It has 28 miles. I have not been able to do much with it. It came without a key. With a "jump start", the screens do power on and the 12v electronics all seem to work. The contactors on the battery do not close...

Anyone in the NJ area toolbox and help others out? (for a fee). Specifically for a '21 MSP which needs the media convertor to communicate.

Has any one tried cheaper media boxes or come up with any other alternatives? If I did buy all this equipment would I still at least be able to read DTC's and redeploy full module firmware? I ask because I see talk about lack of CAN data. Thanks!
