Well for me it was about 5 hours between the texts. Just got my VIN! New EDD - 3/19-3/26. I am in SoCal and looks like this will be an Austin built car (7SAYGDEE0PA086***)

Anyone notice a correlation between the “you can trade in a car” text and getting a VIN assigned? No VIN yet but just got that message from the 510 number.

OD: 1/23 EDD moved up a few days this morning to 3/12-3/27.

I doubt it will impact ID4 orders that much. They are in the same boat with the tax credit getting halved for them as well. Really depends on whether or not you want to pay extra for the Tesla range, infrastructure, and software updates.

Ordered on 1/22. We had an ID4 on reserve that had just been manufactured and was on the way to CA. Had to decide if the Y was worth the extra money… decided it was.

I haven't really seen any Fremont specific quality issues called out with recent deliveries in this thread! Most people are wanting Fremont because cars are coming with the upgraded headlights!

My wife and I had the same situation two years ago selling our VW Touareg. Carvana was only slightly under private party value at the time. Had a great experience with them. Super easy, payment was quick! Would do it again based off of our experience.

Just for fun: Drove by my local delivery and service center this morning to peek at new Y's in the parking lot. And can report a mix of both Fremont and Austin builds, almost a 50/50 split. This is in Southern California (Camarillo, CA).
