With the weather cooling down in CA this week, the noise is becoming more noticeable during my morning commute.

This solution seems like a temporary solution as the issue seems to come back every few days. When the issue eventually comes back, I notice that my iPhone recognizes the Tesla as Beats earbuds, and it doesn’t give an option to correct it.

The noise seems to be correlated with temperature for me, as others have mentioned before. The warmer the temperature the less noisy it makes. The timing of this is just unreal!

Brakes seems to be friction only. The 25% regen setting feels closest ti coasting in an ICE for me.

I think this is happening in isolated cases to us unlucky few (but probably frequent enough for Tesla to know it’s an issue). Considering they’re selling almost several hundred model Y per in the US these days. If everyone was having this issue the forum thread would be much much longer.

Mobile technician came and replaced my door seal (seal on the door frame, not the door). It is now much better.

Interesting I have large gaps between the seat back panel and the seats (large enough to put a finger in). My MYLR have been rattling since day 1.

For me it seems to only come up on cold starts and cruising speeds (50-65 miles). It goes away during acceleration.

Common sources of rattles are headrests (take them out and see if it goes away, if it does try adding a strip of duct tape on the side of the metal prongs to dampen the vibration). Else you can try to fold down the seats and see if that does anything to help.

I have the same issue with air leak. Took deliver in Nov 2022, car should be an October build.

Took delivery before you did but there are two folding joints on mine. But nonetheless, it’s technically a cargo shelf (whatever that means) so I guess by definition you’re suppose to be able to put things on it, not underneath it 😁

Yes the seats snaps in place. Don’t pull out the seats too far because there’s cable for the heated seat which needs to be unlatched first

Where is the bar you’re referring to? Last time I lifted the rear seat cushion I saw a lot of wires were not in the plastic harnesses (harness looks like a half circle). After I pushed it in the rattles weee reduced but not completely gone.

SA claims the new SW will count wheel turns and will be more accurate than USS. I highly doubt this can be achieved because objects have to be stationary for this to work
