Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
This not true because the tank does not supply air constantly to the springs. The springs are disconnected from the tank through the solenoid block. Only if you could get the solenoid valves and the compressor valves to open, the air will flow to the springs.
So I own a 2013 S and have the latest Tesla app on my iphone.
Now If I open the app (let's say for arguments sake, the next morning) I see that the app was "checked" more recent, for example 38 minutes ago and it wasn't me.
So who or what is checking/scanning the app?
If your looking at the spinning wheel trying to connect to spotify....
- Reset with factory reset in the menu,
- change the language once and back
- This worked in my case, as since the last update of november 2022 Spotify would not connect anymore (model S - 2013 - life time premium connect)
Will that turned out to be the easiest way. I put in the newly formatted SDcard, phoned Tesla Netherlands, got the local servicestation on the line ("You put in a new sdcard yourself? Eh yeah? Never heard anyone do that, well have I got news for you") ....anyway for €6 they uploaded the...
Funny, I installed the old "corrupted" SDcard in my macbook and there are the two partitions! Unfortunately disk utilities isn't able to read the sdcard so a copy isn't possible in this way. I'll probably will have to go back to ubuntu to figure it out.
Somewhere earlier in this thread there is...
Well I got the car right next to the local home wifi with excellent reception.
Reseted the MCU several times but the warning triangle on top of the screen stays right where it is.....
Software indicates :
v11.0 (2022.8.10.5 b94e08b2c3be)
and navigation indicates:
EU-2022.12-13877
So I interpret...
Strange, I toke out the SDcard and put it in my Linux PC slot. And to my surprise there was just one big 16GB free space on the disc. Isn't that odd?
And after installing the 32GB sdcard I still get the warning MCU-w007, navigation not available, service required, (obviously!), navigation...
Oke for all of you who want to make your own SDcard for your 2013 tesla S.
1. Get hold of a laptop or windows PC.
2. Download Ubuntu (= Linux Operating system) (Ubuntu-22.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso from internet) and burn the Ubuntu iso file to a USB stick of minimum 20 GB or so (I did it on a...
Maybe an ignorant question but does that mean that the sdcard is reconfigured to 2x 8GB after it has been formatted as a 2x 16GB by Tesla? I formatted a 32GB sdcard as a 2x 8 GB and tried to put the nav file onto it but the nav file is 15 GB so it is not possible to transfer it to the sdcard. So...
Just out of curiostity, can a 32GB sdcard be formatted in 2x 16GB and will this work in a MCU 1? or does it always need to be 2x 8GB partitions? (Bit of a waist of a 32GB card)
Will the new SDcard (which is correctly formatted) search for a new database on the tesla server or does it need an old database to begin with? Are there any other files which should be on the SDcard besides a navigation database?
So if I understand correctly the process would be as follows? Install ubuntu on your computer, use a new SDcard and format this in two partitions within ubuntu, then run the nav_SDcard_format.sh file and insert the SDcard back into the MU1 and your good to go? Or is the nav_SDcard_format.sh file...
Better writing. It would be better for most readers if someone would write down a good complete instruction text with describing the process without referring to all the short cut words.
A plain "How and Why to change the MCU1 SD card for dumbo's".
This way the article about this problem would...
