Make sure you are pressing the button in all the way (2 stops) - the first stop just activates the wipers, second stop is to activate jets. Are you hearing the pump's whirring sound?

They took my car and lubricated the fan, said that they could not replicate the problem at the SC, that if the problem recurs they will replace the fan. I still notice the sound, but it doesn't bother me much so I am ignoring it. Perhaps I will bring it up again at the annual service.

Agree with tech and parking sensors. I skipped the air suspension. I was told NOT to get the cold weather package as you can always warm up the car using the app, before you get in.
