Yes - according to my SA, by the second rejection, Tesla considers that it has fulfilled it’s obligation to the order, regardless of the build quality of the vehicles. There is no getting back the $250.

Congrats! It’s funny the differences between Tesla showrooms. My vehicle was completely unlocked for me during my inspection, but on the same token no one seemed to care I was there. I’ll be doing the bank check next time around if I ever get my ACH payment and trade-in title back.

Were you able to pay with a check after you inspected the vehicle? If so, how? I had to pay via an ACH transfer before delivery date. It would have been nice to have the option to not pre-pay for an unseen vehicle.

Heh, my delivery tag (“Congratulations xxx!”) was not even on the vehicle. I had to find it by the VIN in the parking lot and look it over myself. An SA approached me after about 35 min of me looking the vehicle over. It was just sad all around.

Very much so; in the U.S. I believe they still only come out of Fremont, whereas the black can come out of Austin as well.

yeah, the tesla trade offers are usually pretty horrible. Even with my state’s sales tax credit for trading my vehicle in, I may end up just selling it to a dealer to make more.

Interesting; but congrats on the VIN! Usually things move pretty fast after you have one assigned. Don’t be surprised if your timeframe moves to the left more, or you get a notification in a few days to schedule delivery.

Trade evaluation usually takes a few business days unless you have one done in-person at your local showroom. An advisor would probably be best placed to help you with your delivery financing and payment options also.

Unfortunately calling them is your best bet to find that out; try contacting your local showroom if you can versus calling the national number, as that is a hot mess right now.
