    Supercharger - The Star, NSW

Strictly they are within their rights to do it, and in many ways it's a smart business move to do so. I'll be honest though it is a little annoying especially for those of us from out of town who mostly charge at home who show up and the place is full. Of the times I have supercharged at St...

    Supercharger - The Star, NSW

I got the impression from Ruby that they were still negotiating with the potential site owner. I do hope it comes soon though. A year ago I could charge at St Leonards or the star and be close to the only one. Now every time I go I see another X being delivered and full SC bays.

    Supercharger - The Star, NSW

FYI this supercharger is closing this coming Monday 19/6. I was notified when leaving there today. I rang St Leonard's and they confirmed. I asked what the story was given that even now St Leonards and The Star are often full, and the rate which they are selling cars implies it will quickly get...

    Model 3 Unveiling and Reservation

According to my calculations, it starts at 8:30pm PT which is 2:30pm AEDST. Am I wrong?

    Hunter EV show in August

Sounds good. That is 20 or so minutes up the road from me. I will have my place on Plugshare by then, it is 12 minutes off the freeway at the Morisset exit.

    Driving through Water

Thanks Kayto and everyone else. It seems like the best option is to approach with caution and only go through very shallow water. Cheers.

    Alarm Activation

Best doesn't mean perfect. Best is relative, perfect is absolute. The model S is better than all other cars and is therefore the best. It is however not perfect and can be improved.

    Driving through Water

This may be a question for Tesla directly - thought I'd ask the community anyway. What are the ramifications of driving through water? I live in an area where I occasionally have to drive through water across the road. Of course I am not talking about full blown flood water, but are there any...

    Indicated vs Actual Speed

Hi fellow Tesla fans, It has been quite a while since I last posted, good to be back. I finally pulled the trigger and my 70D is being delivered next month - can't wait! I have two questions for you all in the meantime, one in this post and one I will put in another post. Q: has anyone...

    Tesla in Australia

Guys a few comments questions from me (rare poster I know, but frequent reader). First, a comment on LCT. I understand from talking to my financial adviser (some years ago now) that it was introduced as the wealthy were using favourable FBT rates on car salary packaging to reduce tax. Without...

    Tesla in Australia

Looks like the Novocastrians got in together! I'm 198. Agree with your comment too Mike, frustrating for us let alone those who have been waiting for years.

    Tesla in Australia

For those who have reservations already, just wondering how long it takes between making the payment (electronic via Swift code) and the reservation number being assigned? Thanks in advance.

    Tesla in Australia

Quick question, I am just about to wire my 6K deposit through, does anyone know if it is AUD or USD? I can't find any info on in. In fact if I click "reserve" on the website I now get a 503. Often a sign of an impending website update? - - - Updated - - - Ignore me - the website is now...

    Tesla in Australia

I was told that three phase charging would be supported with the twin charger whilst chatting to the guy on my test drive, quoted for the 85 as a 4 hour full charge. He might have been mistaken though, not sure.

    Tesla in Australia

No it was not. They had no RHD vehicles there (even in the retail store). It was a pretty cool setup though - a single vehicle in the shop, and several in the carpark rigged to chargers for test drives. Interestingly there had been two of them crashed/damaged in test drives recently and had...

    Tesla in Australia

Fellow Tesla lovers - time for confession from me! I have been very keen for the Model S in Australia for sometime now, and have been following the news and this thread with great anticipation. I have placed a reservation for the 85 (just need to push the payment through this week, coming from...
