I have a late June model, and the car has been in for service twice. The first time was just pending stuff from the due bill -- minor paint and interior issues we found during delivery. The second time was this week, to fix the A/C hamster wheel noise other new owners reported as well.

My car's in for service today, and currently charging at 200 miles/hour (387V / 148A). It's clearly a Supercharger, but likely only for loaners and cars coming in for service. Btw, I am very impressed by the sales and service staff here.

My previous car was a frameless Mercedes convertible where the doors felt much more solid.

This was the first thing I noticed when I was taking delivery at the factory; the DS said that's just how it is. I think of the S as a cutting edge but beta product; minor stuff like this is going to exist for the next 5 years or so.

Oh no :( did they say why? I toured the factory today and they said if they find issues during QA they make the car go through the full production process again. I'd try to get more details from the production team.

Just took delivery. All went well; a few minor issues that were noted on the due bill. Tesla Burlingame called within hours to set up an appointment to get everything fixed.

I drove both suspensions on 19" wheels, and there was definitely a small difference going over potholes. Trying to decide between XPEL Ultimate and ClearGuardX for paint protection on a blue Model S. From talking to a couple of people it sounds like ClearGuardX has the same self-healing properties but is much more clear compared to XPEL Ultimate. Has anyone seen both films in person? Datasheet...

Don't worry about it. Inexperienced drivers will damage an S as quickly as a P, so you'll have to be careful either way.

This is so bad it's hilarious. I'm taking delivery in Fremont on Thursday, and I look forward to posting pics of orange ooze on the blue frunk :)
