Yeah it's something that can be addressed when you get the final invoice as there is more than enough time between getting the invoice and getting the car. Definitely appreciate the heads up about the situation though, as I will now look at the itemised points more carefully when the invoice...

If I see standard white blue and the $44 on the invoice I'll contact Tesla and ask for slimline black, I'm hoping they don't just change it to the $44 plate by default and at least ask me first!

Thanks for confirming that makes sense!! Did you get the option to change it back to slimline before you got the invoice? Though of course in your case since you are changing to custom anyway the slimline is useless.

It seems some photos in a Facebook group of recent pickup? I haven't seen these photos myself though and even then would need to know what the plate fee was for that order, otherwise it's speculation. What we can say is safe to say is that if you've got the $190 fee expect slimline plates! :D

Well I got my rego renewal for my current ICE car ... I changed the renewal period to 3 months so it will expire in early March. Model 3 RWD order EDD Feb - May ... Will I have to pay the rego on the old car again? Such suspense with this waiting room! 🤪

The first email I received from Solar Victoria was on 1 August and I made my order mid June so it was about a month and half before I heard anything. You might get something soon if it's a similar timeframe.

I never got a call either (RWD order) just the "welcome to Tesla family" text and then a bit later an email from Victorian Government on the subsidy program confirming that Tesla applied for it on my behalf and more to come later when VIN is assigned.
