    It’s a test case failed at the end of the day !! I would wait for a Tesla reply but hope the car comes back from the body shop with no problems whatsoever..

    One more thing ( I just attached the picture of the crash). Is it a possibility that the AEB didn’t work as expected since it was the corner edge of the car ??

    I have had a long conversation with Tesla yesterday and they have indeed opened a claim request for me ( I don’t know what does that mean though) and are gojng to deep dive into this to see what the issue really was .. Expected SLA is 3-5 weeks.

    The car is in the body shop and went into service mode .., so I can’t download the dashcam recording now.., but I do have a picture of the crash of you are interested to see that.

    The manual says it should apply at any speed between 3m/hr to 90 m/hr and defintely my car was at least in the 25mph ramge ..

    That’s exactly the point and I really don’t know now how to gather evidence other than eye witness or internal recordings.

    I have gone through all these runbooks already.. , but theory is one thing and practically how it got executed is another thing.. So that’s the reaaon of discussing in this forum.

    The option for me was already toggled on.., so I am not sure why it did not work. It says ot would apply the brakes to minimize the impact but it am sceptic now.

    Is the Model 3 suppose to apply the emergency brakes automatically in order to avoid a frint collision? The car in front of me stopped suddenly and until I can take any action , my model 3 hit the car from behind.
