I parked the car for 20 minutes, came back and got the "Ready for update" message - I guess .15 is now downloaded. It'll install overnight. Curious to see what happens to the a/c!
In mine, the screen still shows that the climate control is on. The settings are the same as they were the last time I turned off the climate (temp, fan etc.) Strange, but to me, not a big deal... at least the car turns on! (knock on wood)
Curious as to what this is. I have the v6.0 .13 update and the only thing I've noticed that's quirky is that it seems as though the air conditioning is turning itself back on every time I start up the car, as opposed to staying in the state it was in when I parked. This is different than...
I wonder if there are multiple versions in the wild? Today it kept placing me on "unnamed road" over by the ebmud plant, or on a surface street on the island itself.
I will also add that I can't wait for the actual Navigon maps to update. Every time I go over the new span of the SF-Oakland bay bridge it freaks out and constantly recalculates...was true in all previous versions and in 6. But today's trip into the city from the east bay showed that the...
So I just got my car back from Fremont after the air bag/seat fix and it had 6.0. Something I haven't seen commented on, but TuneIn now syncs your saved stations from the app/website with Favorites in the car. This was not the same before, Tesla favorites didn't sync with app favorites.
For what it's worth I am also able to get my "punch list" of tiny little insignificant things fixed at the same time! ..all two of them...
It's my luck that the weirdest most random thing happens to me.. Oh well. Car's tremendous even with this glitch!
yeah, I was pretty surprised about it to be honest. It seemed so random and not in keeping with the normal Tesla notifications, which are usually way more descriptive than just a red light on the dash. Reminded me of the old "idiot check engine" ICE lights!
Anyway, they're fixing it; and I...
Over the weekend, the airbag light started going on intermittently - in the top left of the instrument panel. I couldn't figure out any pattern as to when it'd go on - sometimes at start, sometimes when driving, on and off every other minute, irrelevant whether solo or with a passenger in the...
Yes! I have seen this also. However I've been able to fix mine with only a screen reboot, no logout/login.
I saw. 5.14 thread ... this started for me with 5.12 so hopefully this is fixed?
They require a direct deposit but they have no way to determine if it's all your check or not. I have my employer deposit half the payment every two weeks. This meets the rate discount criteria and means I never have to think about making the payment. I love automation...
Alliant had the approval in minutes for me. DCU had to go to senior management due to size, so two days. I was willing to wait because the DCU rate was a ton lower.
At pickup in Fremont yesterday they said they were running only one shift for the next few weeks. Anecdotally it seems as though they've sped up the 2q deliveries and will be doing retooling for a while
Delivery moved up! Originally scheduled for June 11th but now it's Saturday. The car is ready now but no slots are open tomorrow for detailing, so I have to wait another day...
Yes, you are...but there are so many caveats on that, it wasn't really a consideration for me. Plus I'm a high mileage driver (18k/year+) so the overage on that really kills its utility.
It is. But gap only pays off if your car is a total loss or is stolen, and you owe more than the insurance pays. Gap makes a lot of sense with Teslas for those of us who took advantage of nutso cheap money (DCU, I'm looking at you) and levered up. I paid $295 for DCU's peace of mind, if god...
I have delivery on the 11th and am still sourcing parts too. When I spoke with my DS last week to finalize financing he said the scheduled factory time was for week of June 2...
Exhibit A: Apple.
I'd venture a guess that since we can afford a $100k car, we can responsibly consider lending as part of a sensible asset/liability strategy. It's always better to get credit when you don't need it, because when you do need it, it is not usually easily available...
In trading emails today with the delivery specialist, I asked if there's any chance of movement up on my June 11th date (can't hurt, right?) and he said "I will let you know if we can move up your delivery, but it will probably only be a few days notice."
Great, now something else I need to...
Maybe a bit off topic, but did they tell you that you had to direct deposit all of your paycheck, or just "any" direct deposit? I've heard both things. I'm not against direct deposit (I automate: what's the payment? ok, I'll direct deposit half of it every 2 weeks, you auto-pull the payment...
It depends on the rate on offer. I am working with DCU on mine and the rate after discounts can be as low as 0.99%. With a rate that low, the opportunity cost of paying a lot up front can be significant. Especially if you have other debt, it is better to use free cash to pay other stuff at a...
This is the first I have heard of any kind of subsidy. I didn't even get to the point where we talked about cost for trenching, the PG&E guy just said "it's significant" and I moved on based on that. I'm sure they were under no real incentive to tell me "oh by the way we'll eat part of that" -...
Exactly this. PG&E got picky about the service in the house. For some reason they wanted 2x200 amp service even though I was only installing a 14-50. Of course the line up from the street wasn't robust enough to support 400 amps so out came the trenching diagrams etc. at that point I said...
that's the problem in California... it's easy to exceed the generation capacity (I'm going to do it despite my solar array)
I'm also getting a raft of crap about a second meter on my place - they want to trench! (ugh) so I think I'm going to just have to go with the regular tiered pricing from...
This is great feedback. I'm beginning to think it might be worth the hours drive. Like a lot of us on here I have little time and patience with advertising on craigslist, cars.com, whatever.
Delivery date confirmed for June 11th! Timeline:

I just made the same change, adding P. I went blue also so would love to see the pics. Funny enough I was so-so on the spoiler but my wife loved it on the white one we looked at....
VINs everywhere overnight! I was assigned 41635. Still showing "June" but I got a note from the delivery specialist saying "first half of June is likely" so let's see.
This is the worst part of the wait in my view - still too early to sort financing or anything, nothing interesting on the...
