    e-Fatigue

The panic industry has caused a lot of trouble. But the data doesn't support the crisis story. Stay calm and be thankful that even people you disagree with get a vote.

Towed boat from RI to FL & Back

Thanks for the reply. My preference will be the AWD though I think my wife (who is the one who ordered it) would take a tri motor if it got here first. I'd spec all season truck tires too. I'm encouraged by your numbers, since our twice yearly tow will be 100 miles with many superchargers on the...

Can't Auto Park with FSD - version 2024.3.10

I can still use the "old" autopark, The one that brings up the gray circle as you drive by. I haven't seen evidence that I have the new, improved Autopark yet, next time I'm in a likely situation I'll stop and put it in reverse to see if anything happens.

Towed boat from RI to FL & Back

Thank you for this- we're waiting on a Cybertruck order to replace our Ram, to tow a boat /trailer combo of around 7500-8000 lbs. Our towing will be about 100 miles, twice a year. Drag may well be less than yours but I think planning a stop will make sense!

Automatic settings on windshield wipe when on auto pilot (problem worse)

I've now gone maybe 500 miles on 12.3, and now 12.3.3. I've had one dry wipe, though it may well have had a drop or two because it started raining harder within a few minutes. The experience with FSD is different enough that I'm leaving my hands in my lap instead of dragging on the wheel, and...

Automatic settings on windshield wipe when on auto pilot (problem worse)

Latest FSD wipers are fixed. Best ever.

I think the only way to maximize is put your reserve at 100% for the season.

Auto high beams still comically bad

Puzzling. Mine have always worked even when new 3 years ago and they improved from there, to the point I never think about it. No issues with streetlights or signs throwing it off. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I too received the payout notification last night. And yes, I've generally received quick-ish responses from Tesla. Not sure what everybody else is doing that makes a difference.

Connected Solutions Real-World Experiences (MA - National Grid / EverSource)

Not yet, they told me the 1st 2 waves have gone out and I'll be in one of the next waves. They're very nice and pretty quick to respond. I recommend contacting them-but my theory is they decided to get switched to paying ACH through the app and that is likely what delayed payouts. Mailing checks...

I got an answer in about 12 hours. Very complete. I wish I'd thought to use it before but all's well.

It takes a while, but it happens. You'll get it when it's available. The first test of the system came in June last year, Don't sweat it.

    Should auto-park be working?

Hm-mine works, and works well. It's never been this good- but I may be skewing things because I usually have already selected areas where I expect parking to be available and safe.

    Questions on real electricity consumption

Negligible in my experience.3 years ownership, I can leave my car for days without using it or plugging in, very little change in state of charge.
  17. M

    Cross Climate 2 Tire Range

I installed CroosClimate 2s last November. Real range impact is negligible, after the tire has gone a few hundred miles. My lifetime consumption had been 216 wh/mile, it's now 226 wh/mile but I've made several long highway drives during that time. Keep in mind regardless of the tire you...

    Cybertruck at Boston Store 11/26/2023

We have a reservation-we'd take delivery tomorrow if we could. I can't imagine they'll give preference to someone who showed up to look though.

    Stolen Tesla X Plaid

Charge on Solar is a recent addition-when I turned it on in the app I got pairing messages from our Powerwall and later a notification of a new key added. Might not be what happened for you.

    Stolen Tesla X Plaid

If you recently activated Charge on Solar you'll get that message.

Why does FSD run so many red lights?

This version is definitely not for a ride share or robotaxi so no of course the point is moot. But if it's really L4 or 5 it would be on Tesla.
  24. M

Why does FSD run so many red lights?

2 years on FSD but never ran a red light. I suppose if the car can't see it I couldn't see it so not sure what to make of the thread.

    Tesla Model 3 Battery Died!

I do believe that you are posting this to strike angst in the hearts of owners-and I understand why you won't post invoice copies. Though I don't really understand some other points. It might help us all out if you can tell us what Tesla Service Center you are dealing with-you were on a road...

I watched the grid event start drawing at 4 PM, then within minutes storm watch kicked in and kicked the event off for me-as I expected. So I didn't participate much, but I have a full battery .

    Autopilot Failed me!

I've driven the Taconic on FSD several time. No issues. It spotted deer on the edges that I hadn't noticed.

Connected Solutions Real-World Experiences (MA - National Grid / EverSource)

I do understand, but you remain in full control as long as you have the option to opt out on events, or even the program altogether, right in the app. Frankly it seems you should withdraw-life is too short to live with this tension.

Not an exoskeleton- wait say what?

Not really a lot of difference between an exoskeleton vs a unibody vs a monocoque. The structure looks the same as I'd seen before.

Getting ready to buy my first Tesla... What to know...

I'm in New England north of you. My daily drive was 150 miles or more, year round. I never had to charge away from home. Even when we get -15 F like we did in February, no issues at all. Best car I've owned. And I've had a lot of cars.

    Tesla Fires

My local fire department asked me to bring my car by so the department could examine basic EV fire techniques. It was pretty cool to share the extensive firefighter information that Tesla provides. This coincidentally happened just after my Tesla solar/Powerwalls were installed. One member...

Sudden unexpected turns in FSD mode

It seems X/S cars are experiencing problems with 11.3.6 that 3/Y folks aren't? Immediately after 11.3.6 I had more odd things happening than with .3 (moving in lane, odd speed changes) but shortly after I got a map update after which it settled down.

Vote for a Recall of FSD 11.3.3

11.3.3 works pretty well for me. Not so crazy about rants like this-make it hard to believe the poster.

    Winter performance

I have quite a bit of experience with winter driving. The M3 is the best snow car I've ever had. Stick with 18" wheels and 235 width, my choice is Michelin Crossclimate so I don't need to change for summer- as good as the studded Nokians etc I had for years on various Audi quattros.

What are people that bought Full FSD doing?

What am I doing? Driving my car, engaging FSD when I want it and disengaging when I don't. Works well for me. We'll definitely buy it for our Cybertruck.
  38. M

    Micheline Crossclimate 2's on a 18" Model 3 LR

I bought these for my 3 in November. Keep in mind that rolling resistance on any new tire will be higher than a worn tire-by as much as 20%. I noticed the range drop/consumption increase immediately but it seems to be near on par with the OEM tires now. We took a long trip in January that...

I own a 2022 Mercedes Benz GLB 250. I drive 30,000 miles a year. Looking for input as I look into Model Y

No, I retired at the end of May last year. My driving is far more normal now. Though I do more long trips for fun- drove to Florida (the long way) last year, just got back from a trip to North Carolina. Love the car. A car like this would have been great for me all through my career. The 3 gets...

I own a 2022 Mercedes Benz GLB 250. I drive 30,000 miles a year. Looking for input as I look into Model Y

I was in a similar situation, driving up to 50,000 miles annually for over 30 years. When the time came to buy a car (while an offer to purchase my business was under consideration) I decided to get the Tesla instead of yet another Audi. The cost of driving dropped dramatically. My daily...

    SF Bay Accident Surveillance Footage

Driver's fault I doubt it's truly FSD but in any event the driver had only to press the accelerator to avoid being rear ended. The car was stationary for a significant amount of time.

    Help! Fsd question

Highway means it isn't using FSD. Verify your speed setting. If you have full Autopilot there are settings for overtaking.

Tesla on Autopilot slams into stationary car (VIDEO)

As an FSD beta user with many miles of experience, I totally reject the idea of this accident being anything but driver error and driver responsibility. I don't care if FSD was present or engaged.
  44. M

Tesla on Autopilot slams into stationary car (VIDEO)

What driver would allow his car to do this? I don't care if any aids were engaged, this is idiocy.
  45. M

Do you regret updating to use Tesla Vision and disabling your radar? Would you go back if you can?

Going vision only when I got on the FSD Beta last year was the biggest single improvement in performance for all Autopilot/NAV Autopark I ever had, and I would never go back.

Auto high beams still comically bad

I see comments about the auto headlights, but mine are great. They dip later than I would in some situations, but never flash or dazzle anybody. I don't know how much of this is odd differences between cars vs tolerance for actions that differ from the driver's normal intentions. Similar I...

Question re. FSDb "learning" local roads

When I first got the beta last October I realized one big hurdle is for people to sit behind the wheel while another "entity" decides what's right. It gets better as you get used to it-which likely seems like it is learning when in fact it is you that is adapting. I haven't had a disengagement...
